Plan at a glance

Location and visitable area

The Yellow River Hetao Cultural Tourism Area lies in southern Linhe District, near Shuanghe Town and the Yellow River wetlands, a short distance from central Linhe. Its point listings also include a museum and viewing facilities; the wetland park’s map point is west of Jinchuan Bridge. Their areas and opening arrangements differ. Published size figures use different measures, so follow the entrance open that day and the park’s on-site guide to see which areas are walkable.

A good half-day outdoors

The area centers on wetland scenery, waterside walks, and Hetao cultural experiences, making it a good half-day outdoor visit in Linhe. The listings also include the Mongolian Camp, viewing platforms, and a museum; check on-site signs before deciding which are open.

The park and the wider tourism area

The wetland park provides the main walking experience. Map points, entrances, and venue hours across the wider tourism area may differ. The Water Conservancy Culture Museum has its own admission arrangements; check the museum’s schedule separately.

Tickets and visit details

View visit options for this attraction and confirm the visit date and current arrangements before you go.

Choose your visit

A one-hour waterside walk

If you have limited time, start at an entrance open that day, follow the waterside path to an open viewpoint, and return the same way. Treat one hour as a flexible estimate: maps do not show walking distances from the entrance to each viewpoint, so check the park guide and choose a distance that suits your pace.

A relaxed two- to three-hour visit

For a longer visit, walk part of the wetland path, then choose an open viewing platform or recreation area from the park guide and return to an open exit. The Mongolian Camp can be an extra stop if it is open. Turn back along an open path if you reach a closed section; there is no confirmed full loop.

Plan around open paths

The tourism area’s materials mention viewing facilities, but their visitor access has not been confirmed. Plan your walk around paths open that day and do not make climbing a tower a fixed stop.

For a separate heritage-and-craft visit in Linhe, see Hetao Intangible Cultural Heritage Town.

Build your day

Make daytime your main visit

An attraction listing shows the area as open around the clock, but the museum, activity venues, viewing facilities, and businesses each have their own hours. A daytime walk is the simplest plan. There is no stable notice for night lighting, exits, or event times, so check before planning an evening visit.

Check the museum separately

If you also plan to visit the Yellow River Water Conservancy Culture Museum, check its open days, last admission time, and guided-tour arrangements before deciding which stop comes first. The museum and park set their own hours and entrances; navigate to each separately.

Get there

Navigate to the wetland park map point

For easier navigation in Chinese map apps, search for “黄河河套文化旅游区湿地公园” (Yellow River Hetao Cultural Tourism Area Wetland Park) and use the wetland park map point west of Jinchuan Bridge as a reference. The map point is not a confirmed entrance. On arrival, follow signs to the entrance open that day, then walk along the open waterside path.

Public transport and parking

No stable bus route and final walking leg to an actual park entrance have been confirmed. Use a live map to check routes for the entrance open that day. Check parking location and fees on site.

Know before you go

Tickets and operations

The Yellow River Hetao Cultural Tourism Area is an open wetland destination. Treat the public wetland area separately from buildings, water activities, and commercial experiences. Fees and access areas follow the rules announced for each current project; check the entrance notice before starting your visit.

Protect the wetland and watch the weather

Stay on open paths, keep behind barriers, and do not enter closed wetland areas. Do not chase, feed, or disturb birds. Mosquitoes are common in summer, so bring repellent. In strong wind, cold weather, rain, or snow, shorten your waterside walk and check that your return exit is still open.

Plan county-level trips separately

This wetland park is an urban waterside stop in Linhe. Nalin Lake and Sanshenggong Scenic Area are separate destinations in Dengkou County and need their own transport plans. The Hetao Agricultural Culture Expo Park is in Wuyuan County and also requires a separate drive and supply plan; it is not a walking stop from downtown Linhe.
