Park layout and entrances

Jingyuetan is at No. 5840 Jingyue Street in Nanguan District, Changchun. The visit area includes the reservoir shoreline, forest trails, viewpoints, and seasonal activities. Both the Main Gate near Goddess Square (女神广场) and the West Gate by the ski resort lead into the park, but each is better for a different area.

Admission and opening hours

Adult admission is CNY 30. Eligible visitors aged 6–18, full-time students at undergraduate level or below, and seniors aged 60–64 can buy a CNY 15 concession ticket. Visitors aged 65 or older and eligible children enter free under the park’s rules. Bring the original valid ID required for a concession or free admission; check the ticketing page or ticket window to confirm which foreign IDs are accepted. The sightseeing shuttle, boats, cable car, skiing, and other activities cost extra.

Park entry hours vary by season. Ticket windows, the visitor center, and internal transport also keep separate operating hours. Tickets are available through the park’s official WeChat mini program, and both the Main Gate and West Gate have ticket windows. Evening entry does not mean the shuttle or indoor venues are still operating.

Reservoir history and lakeside views

The water-release tower west of the dam marks the former water-source site for Jingyuetan. The park dates it to 1934–1935 and also identifies it as a filming location for the television series *A Lifelong Journey*. The dam and tower suit visitors interested in the lakeshore and waterworks architecture.

Forest and cultural stops

The Black Pine Forest, Forest Bathing Area, and woodland boardwalk offer options for a walk. Visitors who prefer to avoid a long hike can use the sightseeing shuttle between the main stops. The Goddess statue stands in Goddess Square. The China Vasaloppet Museum (中国瓦萨博物馆) covers Changchun’s winter sports events and is free to enter; it has its own opening hours.

For a separate safari visit with its own gate, shuttle, and ticket, see Jilin Siberian Tiger Park (Changchun).

For a separate day of film-themed rides and shows, see Changchun Movie Wonderland.

Build your day

Two-hour shuttle route

Board at Goddess Square (女神广场) by the Main Gate and get off west of the dam to see the water-release tower. Then spend some time walking near the China Vasaloppet Museum before taking the shuttle to the Lotus and Willows (荷花垂柳) area. The final stop is about 500 m from the Main Gate area; walk back toward the entrance to finish. This route focuses on the lakeshore and architecture.

Three- to four-hour forest route

Take the shuttle from the Main Gate to the Black Pine Forest, follow the boardwalk to the Forest Bathing Area, and board again at a nearby stop for the China Vasaloppet Museum. After the museum, continue by shuttle to the Lotus and Willows area, then walk about 500 m back toward the Main Gate. This route combines a forest walk with shuttle rides.

For either route with several stops, the CNY 20 all-day pass is the practical choice; it allows unlimited rides at the stops along the route that day. The CNY 10 single-ride ticket covers one ride and expires when you get off, so it does not suit a multi-stop visit.

Full hiking route

The park lists a roughly 17 km one-way hiking route from the West Lake Circuit Entrance (西环潭入口) to the East Lake Circuit Exit (东环潭出口). Allow about 3–5 hours; your pace and time at stops will affect the total. The route does not finish at the Main Gate, so plan your return from the eastern exit separately.

Get there

Light rail and buses

Take Changchun Rail Transit Line 3 to Jingyuetan Scenic Area Station (净月潭景区站) for the Main Gate, or to Ski Resort Station (滑雪场站) for the West Gate. Buses G160, 78, G120, T335, and T377 serve the area; after getting off, continue to your chosen entrance.

Driving and parking

Set your navigation destination to “Jingyuetan Main Gate Parking Lot” or the park’s West Gate. The parking areas opposite both the Main Gate and West Gate are listed as free. On holidays, follow staff directions for temporary parking; available spaces depend on conditions when you arrive.

Know before you go

Shuttle tickets and the last bus

The sightseeing shuttle runs in one direction. The park’s transport page lists ticket sales at about 08:00–17:30 and the last shuttle departure at 18:30. Park gate hours do not extend shuttle service; confirm the day’s operating arrangements before boarding.

Walking and seasonal activities

The lakeside road and forest trails both involve substantial walking. The forest can be hot and humid in summer, so wear walking shoes and bring water and insect repellent. Boats, the cable car, and winter activities operate by season and have their own schedules. Check the current event schedule for the music fountain and water-screen film at Goddess Square.

Accessibility services

The park has accessible paths and restrooms. Wheelchairs, walking sticks, and strollers are available to borrow free of charge at the visitor center. Check the conditions on your planned route before setting out on a boardwalk or forest trail; the visitor center can advise whether it suits your mobility equipment.

Food and time on site

Chu Yi Wei Mama’s Cuisine (厨一味妈妈菜) is about 1.5 km from the Main Gate and is an option outside the park. The full lakeside hike takes about half a day; adding another long-route attraction on the same day will leave less time for each visit.
