Choose your visit

About 1 hour: architecture, Song Tea and gongfu tea

Visit the tea-culture exhibition and Dafudi architecture, see the “Song Tea No. 1” specimen, then finish at the Chaozhou gongfu tea experience area.

2–3 hours: deeper tea-culture route

Continue through the tea-culture exhibition, old-tools gallery, tea-vessel display, gongfu tea experience, cultural-creative area and tea-making displays, then consider nearby tea gardens.

Build your day

Start with Dafudi and the Song Tea specimen

Dafudi and Shouxin Ancestral Hall combine Chaozhou wood carving, porcelain inlay and painted decoration. The near-700-year-old “Song Tea No. 1” specimen is the key museum object and fits naturally with the displays on tea aromas and growing areas.

Leave the experience for the end

Use the gongfu tea and tea-making sections after the exhibits to understand the sequence from leaf picking and sunning to oxidation and roasting. Allow driving time if continuing to tea gardens.

Get there

Driving and bus access

Drivers can use roadside spaces in front of the museum or nearby parking, though holiday spaces fill quickly. Phoenix No. 1 bus stops at Old Bus Station, about one kilometre away; service is limited, so driving or a taxi is more flexible.

Know before you go

Monday, prices and photos

Do not visit on Monday. Tea tasting may be free, but confirm prices before ordering sets or buying tea. Dafudi windows, Shouxin Ancestral Hall arches, wooden stairs and tea rooms are good photo locations, especially around 16:00.

Nearby planning

Phoenix Tianchi is around 15 minutes away by car, while Da’an Ancient Tea Garden and Qipan Village can be combined with the museum. Consider splitting the museum and a Tianchi sunrise over two days.
