Build your day
Start with the plan and wall construction
The mansion’s main structure follows a three-bay, five-room, I-shaped layout. Focus on the bamboo-lath plaster walls, courtyard and stone beam to understand its most distinctive construction features.
Finish with the exhibition room and lane
The rear exhibition room introduces the Xu family and related heritage objects. Before leaving, view the building from Putao Lane, then continue on foot to West Lake or Paifang Street.
Get there
Bus and walking
Take a bus to Xu Fuma Mansion stop, then walk about two minutes. The mansion is best reached on foot from West Lake or Paifang Street.
Driving and parking
Use Fengcheng Park Parking Lot, around 6 CNY per visit, then walk roughly 10 minutes. Do not plan to drive into the narrow old-city lanes.

Tickets, context and closure
Compare a combined ticket if you are visiting several paid sites. Interpretation resources are limited inside, so read about the layout, bamboo-lath plaster walls and Song-era components before entering; the mansion is closed on Mondays.
Walking and photos
Wear comfortable flat shoes for stone paving. Putao Lane, the courtyard, bamboo-lath walls and Song bricks are useful photo locations; 09:00–10:00 and 15:00–16:00 are generally less busy.
