How to Visit
1

Use it as an add-on near Detian

Dragon Palace Fairyland is in Daxin County and fits the same route as Detian Waterfall and Mingshi Rural. Its focus is caves, an ice cave, and internal scenic transport, not only outdoor landscape viewing.

Tip:It works best as a route supplement, not as the main reason to visit Chongzuo.
2

Check what your ticket includes

Tickets vary between basic admission and package tickets. Basic online tickets are commonly around CNY 99, while full packages cost more.

Tip:When buying, check whether the ticket includes the ice cave, cliff rail ride, rafting, or return electric cart.
3

Use the easier internal route

The easier route is entrance, ice cave, cliff rail ride, Dragon Palace Cave, then return to the gate by electric cart.

Tip:This is much easier than walking the whole route.
4

Prepare for stairs and cold air

Dragon Palace Cave has many steps, and the ice cave is very cold. With older visitors or children, manage energy and warmth carefully.

Tip:Even if you rent a padded coat, bringing socks or thin gloves helps.
5

Do not leave it too late

If you already have Detian Waterfall on the same day, do not place Dragon Palace Fairyland too late.

Tip:The caves and ice cave still require walking, and doing stairs before a night drive can be tiring.
Highlights
  • Dragon Palace Cave is a natural karst cave, with stalactites, stalagmites, and lighting as the main sights.
  • The ice cave is an artificial ice-and-snow experience. It feels novel for southern Chinese travelers and children, but it is not a natural ice cave.
  • The cliff rail ride reduces walking and gives a mountain-side view of countryside and karst hills.
  • It is close to Detian Waterfall, making it a practical add-on along the Detian route.
  • On rainy days or very sunny days, a cave-based attraction can be more comfortable than staying outdoors for hours.
Insider Tips

Ticket types differ a lot. Do not look only at the price; check which projects are included.

The ice cave floor can be slippery. Walk slowly and do not run or jump on the ice.

The temperature difference between inside and outside the caves is noticeable. Bring a light layer if you get cold easily.

If your group is not interested in artificial ice scenery, focus on Dragon Palace Cave itself.

Parking space is limited, so arrive earlier during holidays if driving.
