Taiping Ancient City is in Chongzuo city and works well after dinner or on your arrival day. It does not need a full day.
Arrive before the lights fully come on
The most comfortable time is from late afternoon into the evening. Arriving before dark lets you see the gate, Wind-and-Rain Bridge, and riverside lighting come on.
Separate free entry from paid extras
Inside the ancient city, you will find snacks, restaurants, bars, boat rides, and costume-photo rentals.
Treat performances as a bonus
Performances such as iron-flower shows, drone shows, or water-stage programs usually appear on weekends, holidays, or special event periods.
Use a short city transfer
Taxis from central Chongzuo are convenient and usually take 10-20 minutes. If driving, navigate to Taiping Ancient City South Gate Parking Lot.
