How to Visit

Allow transfer time from Zumiao Station or the nearest bus stop
Liang Garden is in the Songfeng Road and Xianfeng Ancient Path area. It is about 1.5 kilometres on foot from Zumiao Station, or a short taxi, bike ride or bus trip to Liang Garden stop. Plan for an adult ticket of CNY 10.
Tip:Liang Garden, Foshan Ancestral Temple and Lingnan Tiandi are not a seamless walk without transport. If combining them in one day, include about 15-20 minutes for walking or a short transfer.

Enter from the main gate and follow the garden-and-ancestral-hall sequence
Start with the Liang Garden history display and the Cishi Ancestral Hall, then continue through Lotus Fragrance Waterside Pavilion, Qunxing Cottage, Half-Side Pavilion, Stone Boat, Fenjiang Cottage and Yun Bridge. Allow 1.5-2 hours for a standard visit.
Tip:This sequence gives the Liang family and garden context before the water, buildings, rocks and windows. Walking at random can reduce the visit to a photo stop and obscure the site's spatial logic.

Slow down for the Manchurian windows, carvings and water views
Spend time at Qunxing Cottage, Lotus Fragrance Waterside Pavilion and the waterside buildings to look at coloured Manchurian windows, carved timber, ornamental rocks, bonsai and their relationship to the ponds.
Tip:The garden is compact but dense in detail. There is no need to rush through every building; stopping to observe and photograph is more rewarding.

Avoid the closing day and late-entry period
Liang Garden generally follows a daytime garden-visiting schedule, and Monday closure is an important possibility. Arrive in the morning or earlier afternoon, and pay attention to the day's final-entry arrangement.
Tip:Do not arrive near the final entry time. The garden requires continuous walking, and limited time may force you to skip the ancestral hall, exhibition spaces or waterside architecture.
