How to Visit

Enter the district from Zumiao Station, using Clock Tower Square or Zumiao Avenue as a starting point
From Exits C or D of Zumiao Station on the Guangfo Line, walk about 3-7 minutes to one of several entrances. Lingnan Tiandi is an open historic district, with no single admission ticket or booking requirement for its streets.
Tip:There is no single gate or fixed route. Do not assume that the individual hours of shops, galleries or religious buildings apply to the entire district.

Use the main streets to link historic buildings and side lanes
Begin at Clock Tower Square, then pass Jian's Villa, Wenhui Lane, Longtang Poetry Society and the surrounding arcades and lanes. First-time visitors can allow about 2-3 hours and choose shops or exhibition spaces as they go.
Tip:The main streets are better for pushchairs and continuous walking, while some side lanes are narrow and uneven. Visitors with pushchairs or limited mobility should focus on the main route rather than forcing every lane into the visit.

Plan food stops, galleries and evening time separately
You can walk through the district at any time, but shops, cafés, restaurants and individual galleries keep their own hours. Daylight is better for architectural details; late afternoon and evening work well for food and a further walk.
Tip:Free access to the district does not mean meals, exhibitions, performances or parking are free. Popular restaurants can take longer than the walk itself, so allow separate time for reservations or queues.
