How to Visit

Walk from Shiwan Station to the main entrance and begin with the kiln area
From Exit D of Shiwan Station on Foshan Metro Line 2, walk about five minutes to Nanfeng Ancient Kiln. Start with the Nanfeng Kiln, Gao Kiln and the surrounding dragon-kiln remains. Plan for an adult ticket of CNY 25.
Tip:The dragon kilns are the site's most distinctive feature. Seeing them first prevents the outer shops and photo stops from taking up too much of your visit.

Continue slowly through the ancient banyan and traditional ceramic spaces
Walk from the kilns toward the Ancient Kiln Banyan, Macao Waterfall and the Shiwan ceramic spaces, paying attention to the relationship between the kiln structures, tree roots and ceramic-making tradition.
Tip:The route is short but includes older paving and uneven levels. Slow down in wet weather or when travelling with older visitors or children, and do not cross barriers or step onto slippery edges for photos.

Treat ceramic workshops as a separate purchase
If you want to try wheel throwing, painting or firing a piece, choose a pottery workshop on site. Confirm the workshop fee, firing fee, delivery or collection method before ordering.
Tip:Admission does not include pottery activities, and individual shops can use different service and collection arrangements. Confirming the full price first avoids unexpected charges at the end.

Finish through the figurine street and nearby ceramic district
After the kiln area, browse the ceramic shops and Figurine Street, then decide whether your energy and time allow for Shiwan Ceramic Museum or Taoyun Park. Allow 2.5-3.5 hours for a standard visit with one workshop.
Tip:The nearby shops reward a slow browse, but you do not need to include every store. If time is limited, prioritise the kilns and one ceramic activity before shopping.
