A streamside canyon walk combined with rides
Yulongxi Grand Canyon is near Nanchangling in Qingyuan Town, Qingyuan Manchu Autonomous County. A stream runs through the valley, with Nandahu Waterfall (南大壶瀑布), woodland and streamside scenery along the way. The scenic area combines a canyon walk with rides and activities such as a rainbow slide, an elevated glass rafting slide (高空玻璃漂流), a magic carpet lift, a glass walkway and a dry slide. It suits visitors who want to combine nature and rides in one day.
The reference price for an adult combination ticket is about CNY 115–130. Check the selected ticket to see whether it includes the elevated glass rafting slide, the rainbow slide, magic carpet lift, sightseeing shuttle and other items. Inclusions may vary by product and date, so confirm the date, activities and extra charges before purchase.
Allow half a day and arrive early
Allow about 3–4 hours for the main highlights. The high-altitude water slide can have long queues on weekends and public holidays, so arrive in the morning if you want to combine the rides with the canyon walk. The Ctrip scenic-area page currently lists reference hours of 08:00–17:30, with last entry at 16:00. Major rides may stop taking visitors before the scenic area closes.

Choose your visit
For the slides: start with the water rides
The rainbow slide and elevated glass rafting slide are two of the area's signature rides. If both rides are operating, start with the rainbow slide, then ride the elevated glass water slide downhill. Take the magic carpet conveyor lift back uphill before continuing to the glass walkway and dry slide. Operating status and queues affect the pace, so check the day's map and on-site notices after entering.
The water slides can get you wet. Bring a change of clothes, footwear suitable for wet areas and insect repellent. Check the product description to see whether a raincoat, protective trousers or storage is included; prepare for each ride according to its on-site requirements.
For the canyon: walk along the stream
The streamside boardwalk, woodland scenery and Nandahu Waterfall make up the natural walking section. The magic carpet lift can help with the uphill and downhill sections, but the canyon route still has steps and gravel paths. Strollers are not suitable for this section; decide whether to continue to the waterfall based on the group's fitness.
With children, wade only in shallow areas where the scenic area permits it. After rain, paths can be slippery. Use the glass walkway, slides and streamside paths according to on-site instructions.
Bringing children: check ride requirements
Free-child admission and ride access are separate rules. Check the age and height limits for the rainbow slide, elevated glass rafting slide and each other ride individually. Before booking, check the documents needed for a free-child ticket and the ride thresholds; before riding, check the signs at the entrance.
For a separate summer rafting trip with its own launch and finish arrangements, see Red River Valley Rafting.

Highlights route: rides, waterfall and return to the entrance
Enter through the main gate and, depending on what is open, start with the rainbow slide, then descend on the elevated glass rafting slide. Take the magic carpet lift back uphill, continue to the glass walkway and dry slide, and finish with the streamside trail. Treat Nandahu Waterfall as an optional branch and go only if there is time and the route is open.
Allow about 3–4 hours for the visit, plus any queue for popular water slides. After the stream section, follow the signs to the sightseeing shuttle stop to return to the entrance. On arrival, confirm the stop, last shuttle and day's route. If queues are long, shorten the waterfall branch or another non-essential stop first.
Get there
Drive to the main entrance at Nanchangling
Search for “Yulongxi Grand Canyon Scenic Area” (玉龙溪大峡谷风景区). The destination is at the top of Nanchangling in Qingyuan Town. There is parking and a visitor service area near the entrance. Parking is listed at about CNY 10 per day; check the actual fee and available spaces on site. If you are not driving, arrange a taxi or pre-booked transfer from Qingyuan Town and confirm how you will return.
Arrange a transfer from the railway station
The Shenyang–Baishan high-speed railway serves Fushun Station, Xinbin Station and other stops; Qingyuan is not on its published station list. From the railway, arrange a separate taxi, chartered car or pre-booked transfer to the scenic area, and confirm the return trip as well.

Tickets, free admission and entry times
The reference price for an adult combination ticket is about CNY 115–130. Before buying, check whether it includes the elevated glass rafting slide, the rainbow slide, magic carpet lift and sightseeing shuttle, as well as insurance, ticket exchange and concession conditions. Some rides may stop admitting visitors before the scenic area closes; plan around the signs at each ride entrance.
Paths, queues and ride restrictions
The canyon route is not all flat: some sections have steps and gravel. Older visitors, young children and anyone with limited mobility should assess the walk; the magic carpet lift covers only the sections it serves. Choose water slides, glass attractions and wading areas according to entrance signs, weather notices and staff instructions. Check any age, height or weight limits before riding.
Popular rides may have long queues on weekends. Visit on a weekday or arrive early if you want time for both the canyon and the slides. Food options and prices vary on site. Check the entrance security rules before bringing your own drinks or snacks.
