Walk a one-way old-city route
Enter through the main visitor side, follow the old lanes, include the city gates, and continue toward the river and wall viewpoints where possible.
Tip:A route with gates, streets, and water context works better than random lane wandering.

Use the Three Kingdoms history selectively
Zhaohua is linked to Jiameng Pass and Three Kingdoms stories. Focus on a few clear sites instead of trying to decode every plaque.
Tip:The history adds value, but the town also works as a simple walking stop.

Stay into early evening if your transport allows
The old town becomes calmer after day visitors leave. Food streets, lights, and riverside areas make the evening visit easier to enjoy.
Tip:Do not stay late unless you have a clear ride back to Guangyuan.
