Start at Gongyuanqian Metro
Exit at Gongyuanqian Station (公园前站) on Line 1 or 2, or Beijing Road Station (北京路站) on Line 6. Walk along the pedestrian street and look for the Love Tree (爱心树) landmark at Exit A2 — a beloved photo spot on social media.
Tip:Weekday mornings have the fewest crowds for photography

See the Thousand-Year Ancient Road Ruins
Stop at the glass-floored viewing panel in the middle of Beijing Road. Beneath it lie 11 layers of ancient road surfaces — from Tang Dynasty through to the Republic of China era — with 2,200 years of history visible directly underfoot.
Tip:Look down through the glass floor in the central pedestrian zone

Visit Dafo Temple
The Dafo Temple (大佛寺) sits hidden within the commercial district. At night, golden lights transform its eaves and red walls into a scene straight out of Spirited Away. Free entry, open 8:00-21:30.
Tip:Arrive before 21:30; the illuminated temple is most magical between 19:00-21:30

Admire Lingnan Arcade Architecture
Stroll past the historic Lingnan arcade (骑楼) buildings lining both sides of Beijing Road. These Chinese-Western hybrid structures are most striking during the golden hour of late afternoon when light filters through the colonnades.
Tip:Side streets off the main road offer quieter and more intact architectural scenes

Evening: Night Cruise or Evening Atmosphere
As darkness falls, the street transforms. Walk to the nearby Pearl River Night Cruise (珠江夜游) piers for a boat view of the illuminated city, or stay on Beijing Road to experience the bustling night market atmosphere.
