How to Visit
1

Buy tickets online in advance

Purchase via the official WeChat mini-program or travel platforms. Online tickets are typically cheaper than walk-up. The 460m Ferris Wheel Package (¥300) offers the best value — includes 433m and 450m access plus the Ferris Wheel.

Book at least 1 day ahead for weekend or holiday visits
2

Arrive at Canton Tower Station

Take Metro Line 3 or the automated APM line to Canton Tower Station (广州塔站), Exit A or B. The station is directly connected to the tower — follow signs for the east gate entrance.

APM line is driverless — sit at the front for unobstructed views
3

Ride the High-Speed Elevator

The high-speed elevator reaches the observation floors in about 90 seconds. The ride itself is an experience — watch the floor numbers climb on the display as you ascend above the city.

Ears may pop due to rapid altitude change
4

Experience the Sky Walk or Ferris Wheel

At 450m, walk the outdoor Sky Walk (云端漫步) — a glass-floored walkway circling the tower. Alternatively, board the world's highest horizontal Ferris Wheel (摩天轮) at 460m for panoramic views in climate-controlled cabins.

The 488m outdoor observation deck (separate ticket) offers the highest open-air view in China
5

Enjoy sunset and city lights

The best time is 16:00–18:00 — watch daylight fade and Guangzhou light up below. Bring a light jacket; wind on the open decks is strong even in summer. Food inside the tower is expensive — budget accordingly.

Weekend and holiday queues for the Ferris Wheel can exceed 1 hour — arrive early
