How to Visit
1

Buy tickets online in advance

Book via Canton Tower official website or third-party platforms. Advanced booking is strongly recommended — slots sell out on weekends and holidays.

¥20-30 cheaper than walk-up tickets
2

Take the metro to Canton Tower Station

Metro Line 3 (Canton Tower Station, Exit B) or APM line (Canton Tower East Gate Station). The station is directly beneath the tower.

APM line is driverless — great for views if sitting at the front
3

Enter via the east gate and go through security

Large bags go through X-ray machines. Tripods require registration. Head to the high-speed elevator on the ground floor.

Security checks are similar to airport procedures
4

Ascend to the observation decks

Two observation decks: 83F (around 339m) and 108F (around 454m). The speed elevator reaches 95F in 1分30秒. Step out for 360-degree views of Guangzhou.

The outdoor sky deck at 488m is open-air — bring a light jacket even in summer
Highlights
  • China's 4th tallest observation tower at 604m
  • The only rotating restaurant in Guangzhou at 423m
  • World's highest Ferris wheel — the 'Bubble Tram' cabins circling the tower
  • Spectacular night views of the Pearl River and city skyline
  • The 488m outdoor sky deck — highest open-air observation platform in China
Insider Tips

Visit at dusk (around 18:00-19:00) to catch both daylight and city lights

The 'Bubble Tram' (糖葫芦) ride costs extra and has separate ticketing — not included with observation deck entry

Bring a light jacket — wind on the open-air deck can be cold even in summer

Weekday afternoons are least crowded; avoid Chinese national holidays

The Canton Tower lights up with a color show after dark — great for photos from Haizhu Bridge or Canton Tower East Gate park
