How to Visit

Make the real-name reservation before you go

Qianling Mountain Park is free to enter, but real-name reservation is required. From May 1, 2026, reservations can be made through the Qianling Mountain Park WeChat account or the Guikehui mini-program. Use the QR code or ID card to enter.

Tip:Free entry does not mean you can arrive completely unprepared. During busy periods, reservation affects how smoothly you get in.

Use the East Gate if pandas and the animal area are your priority

The East Gate is more convenient for the panda house and animal area. Take Metro Line 1 to Bageyan Station, then walk to the gate. The South Gate is more classic, but it is busier on holidays and has more pressure from queues and parking.

Tip:If you mainly want an easy animal-focused visit, the East Gate saves more energy.

Follow an East Gate, animals, lake, temple route

Start with the panda house and zoo, then continue to Qianling Lake and Hongfu Temple. Decide whether to climb to Kanzhu Pavilion based on your energy. A full visit takes about 3-4 hours.

Tip:You do not need to force the mountain top, temple, lake, and animal area into one route. Qianling Mountain can take more energy than expected.

Build the animal opening hours into your plan

The park opens 07:00-20:00, the zoo opens 09:00-17:00, and the panda house opens 10:00-17:00. Going to the panda house after 10:00 in the morning works better than arriving too early or too late.

Tip:If you go too early, you may wait for the panda house to open. If you go too late, the animals may be less active.

Take monkey safety seriously

Macaques may come close to visitors. Do not tease them with food, and do not open your bag while walking. Keep snacks, drinks, and plastic bags packed away.

Tip:This is not a feeding experience. Getting too close or provoking monkeys can lead to scratches.
