Russian-style buildings beside the Ash River
Volga Manor is beside the Ash River in Chenggaozi Town, Xiangfang District. More than 30 Russian-style buildings have been rebuilt or preserved here. The south gate is the usual main entrance, with the visitor service centre and ticket office. The grounds are large, so allow half a day to a full day rather than squeezing the manor between several short city stops.
Adult tickets are currently around CNY 120–160 in summer and about CNY 150 in winter; children under 1.2 metres are free. No reservation is required, and tickets are usually available through the official WeChat account, Meituan or Douyin. Current listed hours are 08:30–17:30, with indoor halls open to about 17:00. Prices, activities and same-day opening status should be checked before departure.
Solve the internal transport and return first
A free shuttle reaches the core area, and some buildings can be connected on foot. Electric carts, bicycles, boats and horse riding may cost extra. A quick route takes about 2–3 hours and a full route about 4–5 hours; internal transport and additional spending need separate time and budget.
Return shuttle buses may operate from around Central Street or Saint Sophia Cathedral, with a ride of about 50 minutes. Bus 377 to Volga Manor usually requires a transfer. Taxis and cars are more flexible, but the return may involve a wait or fare negotiation, so arrange the trip back to the city before leaving.

Saint Nicholas Church, Petrov Art Palace and Snow Maiden Castle
Saint Nicholas Church is a purely wooden structure. Petrov Art Palace has an ornate exterior and a Golden Hall inside. Snow Maiden Fairy-Tale Castle is an easily recognized white building. These three suit a first visit, combining architecture with a compact core route.
Summer greenery, river views and boats
From June to September, the greenery, Ash River, Poseidon Bay and building reflections are the main outdoor content. Poseidon Bay works for views of an old sailing ship and buildings across the water; from the far bank of Saint Nicholas Church, you can photograph the wooden structure and a full reflection in clear weather.
Boats, painted boats, horse riding and bicycles may cost extra. Visitors who want a waterside view should confirm the pier, departures and price before adding a boat to the full route. When weather changes over the water, prioritize the buildings along the bank.
Winter snow and ice activities
From December through February, snow covers the buildings and paths, and snow tubes, horse-drawn sleighs and spinning snow rides may operate. Winter activities, prices and safety requirements change with temperature, snow and maintenance. This season suits visitors prepared for cold who want snowy scenery.

Build your day
2–3-hour core route
Enter through the south gate and take the free shuttle to the core area. Follow Saint Nicholas Church → Petrov Art Palace → Snow Maiden Fairy-Tale Castle. See the wooden structure at the church, the exterior and open interior areas at the palace, and photograph the castle or join a snow activity that is open that day.
After the core buildings, follow the shuttle direction back to the south gate or visitor service centre. This short route skips boats, horse riding and electric carts, making it suitable for limited time or a first visit focused on architecture.
4–5-hour full route
Enter through the south gate in the morning and start with the core buildings. After lunch, go to Pier 2; if boats are running, view the two banks from the water. After disembarking, visit the Vodka Exhibition Hall, then choose a bicycle or electric cart around the Forest Stables area.
Give each paid activity its own time and budget. If the boat or riding activity is closed, walk along the Ash River and building complex, then return to the south gate for the trip back rather than changing the whole day for a temporary attraction.
Summer and winter rhythms
In summer, finish the church, palace and castle before adding river views, a boat and a greenery walk. In winter, confirm the shuttle, snow activities and indoor halls first, then walk among the exterior buildings. The season changes both the route focus and walking pace.

Return shuttle buses may operate from around Central Street or Saint Sophia Cathedral, with a ride of about 50 minutes. Schedules, boarding points and return times change, so check the day's information before buying or boarding.
Bus, taxi and driving
Bus 377 can reach the “Volga Manor” stop but usually requires a transfer, making the journey longer and more complicated. A taxi or car can navigate directly to the south gate; a one-way taxi currently costs around CNY 40–50. Because the site is remote, consider the return car and any fare quotation in advance.
The south gate is the main entrance and ticket office. After entering, use the free shuttle to the core. Drivers should follow the park signs back to the south gate when leaving; return from the pier and Forest Stables according to the walking or internal-transport route.

Buildings, snow scenery and open activities change with the season and maintenance. Before buying a ticket, confirm which buildings, shuttles, piers and experiences are operating that day.
Walking, weather and food
The grounds are large and include long walks between buildings. Comfortable or grippy shoes and windproof winter clothing are more useful than an outfit designed only for short photographs. Wooden bridges, slopes and snow may be slippery after rain or snow; follow the safety boundary for boats, horse riding and winter activities.

You can also bring water and a packed meal for an allowed rest area. Because the site is remote, settle the food and return arrangements by the second half of the visit.
