From the 2017 expo site to today's park
Hengshui Garden Expo Park hosted the inaugural Hebei Provincial Garden Expo in 2017. Today it operates as a free city park, with gardens representing local cities, flower fields, the Hengshui History and Culture Exhibition Hall, and the Duck Duck Play Area. Visitors can reserve through the “衡水湖旅游景区” WeChat mini program or scan a code on site. Some attractions, including the children's play area, charge separately.
How much time to allow
Allow about 1–2 hours for the central axis, flower fields and the exhibition hall if it is open. Families planning to visit the children's play area can allow 3–4 hours.

City gardens, flower fields and local history
The park has garden displays representing Hebei's prefecture-level cities. Follow the open paths between them. Seasonal scenery includes purple flower fields in spring and chrysanthemum displays in autumn; bloom periods and exhibitions vary from year to year. The Hengshui History and Culture Exhibition Hall is worth visiting for local history; check its opening status separately.
A play area for children
The Duck Duck Play Area is an outdoor children's playground with slides, climbing structures and a sandpit, making it suitable for families. It is a paid attraction and may keep different hours from the park. Photographers can look for the flower fields, exhibition hall architecture and large metal structures. Maintenance work or construction barriers may change which paths are open.
Build your day
Short route: central axis, flowers and exhibition hall
Enter at the west gate or visitor center, follow the central axis past the open city gardens, and continue to the flower fields. If the Hengshui History and Culture Exhibition Hall is open, visit it before returning to your entrance. Allow about 1–2 hours. If you encounter barriers, adjust your route to the open paths and do not enter construction areas.
Family route: stroll first, then play
Allow 3–4 hours. Start with a walk and photos in the open areas, then spend most of your time at the Duck Duck Play Area. Children can rest in the play area's seating area or eat food you brought with you. Afterward, follow the open paths back to the west gate or visitor center. Check the play area's entrance notices for current prices and hours.

The address is 3369 Hongqi South Street, Hengshui. Navigate to “Hengshui Garden Expo Park West Gate” (衡水园博园西门) or “Hengshui Lake Visitor Center” (衡水湖游客中心). Drivers can use the visitor center parking lot. Henghu Bay Pier (衡湖湾码头) is the entrance for lake cruises; plan parking and boarding there separately.

Walking is the main way to get around the park. Maintenance or construction barriers may affect the route, so follow open paths and turn back where needed.
Know before you go
Opening arrangements and separate charges
The park, Hengshui History and Culture Exhibition Hall and Duck Duck Play Area may follow different schedules. Check each one's hours on the day if you plan to visit the hall or take children to the play area. Park admission is free; the play area and some other attractions charge separately, and children's activities may keep different hours from the park.
Flower seasons, supplies and onward travel
Flower displays and park facilities change with the seasons and maintenance work. Check which areas are open on the day of your visit.
Dining options in the park are limited. Bring water and snacks; the play area's lounge area is a place for a short break. After leaving, you can eat in Hengshui city. If you are continuing to Jizhou District that day, try Jizhou menbing (冀州焖饼) along the way.
Hengshui Lake cruises depart from Henghu Bay Pier. Navigate there separately and plan a road transfer if you are combining it with the park.
