Day and evening visits
Guandong Hulu Ancient Town is in Beigang Town, Longgang District, Huludao. The South Gate is the usual entrance. The park centers on a Guandong folk-culture street, exhibition halls and live shows; many of its streets and buildings are recreated scenes. It suits visitors interested in folk performances and themed sets.
Day tickets, evening tickets and bundles that include rides or other park activities are different products. Entry windows and prices vary by date and by ticket. Allow about 2 hours for a short visit, or 4–5 hours to see the halls and attend shows listed for that day. Check the evening schedule and closing time first.
Shows follow the daily program
The park has hosted performances such as Errenzhuan (Northeastern song-and-dance storytelling), traditional storytelling and shadow puppetry. It has also staged iron-flower displays by Shengshui Lake and fireworks over the water. Check the day's program for shows, times, ticket prices and weather-related cancellations; do not plan around a performance that is not listed.

Two themed museums
The China Gourd Culture Museum displays gourd carvings and craftwork. The China Guandong Folk Culture Museum focuses on traditional household tools, folk objects and historical and cultural materials from the Guandong region. Visitors interested in handicrafts or folk objects can make these two museums their daytime priorities.
Both museums are located inside the park, so you can plan them alongside a walk through Guandong Town. Check whether your ticket includes museum admission, especially if you are visiting during the evening session.
Guandong Town and live shows
Guandong Town recreates market streets in a Republican-era style, with stone-paved lanes, mud walls and thatched storefronts. It is suited to street photography, watching craft demonstrations or joining interactive activities. Visitors who enjoy live shows, or families introducing older relatives to Northeastern folk culture, can choose Errenzhuan, storytelling or shadow puppetry from that day's program.
Hulu Square is the main stage area. Shengshui Lake is a viewing area for some nighttime water shows and iron-flower performances; these shows take place only at announced times. Xingcheng Ancient City, by contrast, preserves historic walls and stone archways, and can be visited separately for original historic architecture.

Enter through the South Gate and walk along the main street in Guandong Town. Visit the China Gourd Culture Museum and the China Guandong Folk Culture Museum first. If time allows, continue to Hulu Square or walk by Shengshui Lake, then leave through the South Gate. If you have only an evening ticket, check whether the museums are open and included.
About 4–5 hours
After entering, check the day's program, then visit Guandong Town, the Gourd Culture Museum, the Guandong Folk Culture Museum, Hulu Square and Shengshui Lake in that order. Time a stage show with your stop at Hulu Square. Go to the lakeside for an iron-flower or water performance only if one is scheduled that day; leave toward the entrance when you finish.
Evening visit and departure
Start your evening visit at the entry time printed on your ticket. Walk through the street area or eat first, then go to the stage and lakeside venues named in the program. If a show changes, adjust your route to the updated schedule. Leave through the South Gate after the activities end.
Get there
South Gate, driving and bus
Search for “葫芦古镇” (Hulu Ancient Town) or the park parking lot in your navigation app, then enter through the South Gate. The park is opposite Beigang Experimental School in Beigang Town. Drivers can use the parking lot near the South Gate; check the posted fee at the lot.
Take bus 6 to “葫芦古镇旅游度假区站” (Hulu Ancient Town Tourist Resort stop), then walk about 300 m to the entrance. Check current bus information for the service interval, last bus and any temporary changes.
Return after the evening program
If you plan to stay for the evening shows, check whether their finish time connects with the last bus 6. If the bus has stopped running, arrange a car or licensed pickup in advance and leave through the South Gate.
Know before you go
Tickets, rides and discounts
When buying online or at the gate, distinguish day tickets, evening tickets and ride bundles. Check the valid date, entry window and included activities for each product. Some online tickets may take about 30–60 minutes to be issued; if buying close to your visit, check the issue and redemption times. Confirm the age, height and ID requirements for child and senior discounts under that day's ticket rules.
The sightseeing cart is listed at CNY 20 per person as a reference. Check the ticket and on-site notices for its route, whether rides are unlimited and whether it runs in the evening. Pick up the day's program when you enter and confirm show locations and weather cancellations.
Weather, photography and food
The park is near the coast and has exposed open spaces, so it can be windy, especially in the cooler months. Bring windproof, warm layers in spring, autumn and winter, and sun protection in summer. For nighttime shows by Shengshui Lake, stay in the areas open to visitors and keep clear of work zones for the stage, fireworks and iron-flower displays.
The Guandong Dining Hall and snack street serve Northeastern dishes such as pork and sauerkraut hot pot, griddled tofu and roasted cold noodles. Stall hours, menus and prices change; check what is open and how much time you have to eat after entering for the evening session.
