Location, ticket and entry logic
The Song Dynasty: Splendid Dreams of the Eastern Capital is performed on the Jinglong Lake water stage inside Millennium City Park. Jinshui Gate or New East Gate is more convenient for reaching the performance area, but the main stage is still a walk or park-shuttle ride from the entrance. Show tickets, seats, and sessions are arranged separately. A regular Millennium City Park ticket does not include seats at the Jinglong Lake main stand.
Current reference seat prices are CNY 249 for Zone B, CNY 299 for Zone A, CNY 499 for VIP, and CNY 999 for Imperial Seat. Book and select a seat in advance through the official online mini-program. The sections on sale, prices, and entry conditions follow the purchase page at the time of booking.
Show duration and time needed
The performance lasts about 70 minutes. A regular session is around 20:10–21:20, while peak seasons may add or adjust sessions such as 21:40–22:50. A short visit still needs 1–2 hours before the show for park entry, walking or a shuttle transfer, and waiting. If you also want the daytime Millennium City Park performances, plan a longer park day or split the visits across two days.

Water-stage production and Song ci chapters
The production uses six sections to connect well-known Song ci poems. The stage is set on Jinglong Lake and combines group performances, horse-war scenes, changing water effects, and battle-style special effects. The sections include “Yu Meiren” (《虞美人》), “Yu Lin Ling” (《雨霖铃》), “Po Zhen Zi” (《破阵子》), and “Man Jiang Hong” (《满江红》). The exact content and stage effects follow the performance on the night.
Seating zones and viewing expectations
Zones A and B, VIP, and Imperial Seat have different prices, positions, and services. Use the seating plan and entry instructions when booking. Seat allocation, fireworks, and extra peak-season sessions depend on the purchase page and the day's programme.
Who should add this show
Add this show if a large evening production is one of your Kaifeng priorities and you are willing to enter early, wait, and follow the seating arrangements. If your group only wants a daytime visit to Millennium City Park, a daytime park ticket is enough. Buy the evening show ticket separately if you plan to watch it.
Build your day
A 70-minute show-focused route
Enter Millennium City Park through Jinshui Gate or New East Gate 1–2 hours early. Follow the day's opening arrangements through the main park sights, then use your ticket, wristband, or on-site directions to reach the Jinglong Lake main stand. Wait in the seating area shown on your ticket; the park's ordinary walking areas are not seating areas.
After the show, follow the crowd-control directions away from the main stand, then walk or take the park shuttle back to an exit. The return plan must also include the walk inside the park, the departing crowd, and the time needed to find a vehicle outside; the 70 minutes refers only to the stage performance.
A deeper route with the park's daytime programme
If you also want the daytime Millennium City Park programme, enter in the afternoon and use that day's schedule to choose shows such as Yue Fei Spear-Fights Little Liang Prince or The Song Capital Defence. Keep enough time for entry and waiting before the evening performance. Confirm daytime programmes, the park ticket, and the evening show ticket separately; a daytime park ticket does not include the evening show ticket.
If you plan to enter Millennium City Park again on the second day, confirm that you have a valid park entry entitlement. Any later-entry benefit not stated clearly in the ticket conditions should not be built into the itinerary; in that case, carry another valid park ticket for day two.

Public transport
Bus routes 1, 15, 20, 30, 38, 39, 49, and 51 are options for reaching Millennium City Park. Use the “Millennium City Park” (清明上河园) stop as the arrival anchor. When taking a taxi, use “Millennium City Park Jinshui Gate” or “Millennium City Park New East Gate” as the destination if you are going to the show, then enter through the corresponding gate and follow on-site directions.
Moving inside the park
Jinshui Gate and New East Gate are entrances to Millennium City Park; the Jinglong Lake main stage is still inside the park. The time needed on foot or by shuttle depends on the open route and crowd levels. After booking, follow the ticket, wristband, or on-site directions and use the permitted route to the correct stand.

Book the show ticket and select a seat online in advance; popular positions may sell out quickly. Prices, sightlines, and services differ between zones, so review the seating plan, entry time, and ticket-verification method. Separate park and show access
The use conditions for the show ticket and daytime Millennium City Park ticket are separate. The performance takes place inside Millennium City Park, but an ordinary park ticket does not give access to the Jinglong Lake main stand. Whether a show ticket also supports later park entry must be stated clearly for that ticket type.
Evening movement and programme changes
A regular session is about 20:10–21:20, and peak seasons may add sessions, but the exact session, seating zone, and end time follow the day's programme and your ticket. Even after early entry, you still need to transfer inside the park, and the exit area will become crowded after the show. Leave via the exit and transport directions on site rather than planning your return around unconfirmed fireworks or extra sessions.
