Plan at a glance
Location, ticket and opening window
Wansui Mountain Martial Arts City is on the middle section of Dongjing Avenue in Longting District, Kaifeng. The Central Gate is close to the Stockade Training Ground and works well when you want to place the large shows in the first half of the day. The South Gate is usually a better direction for finding a ride after a night visit. Adult tickets are generally CNY 80–100 on regular days. Some ticket types allow multiple entries within three days, while holidays may switch to single-day, single-entry use; confirm the exact ticket type when purchasing.
Reservations and visit length
Entry requires an online real-name reservation. Popular shows such as The Three Attacks on Zhujiazhuang (《三打祝家庄》) and Iron Flower (《打铁花》) also require a second reservation through the official mini-program after entry. Opening hours are roughly 08:00–23:00, with substantial changes to evening programming. Allow one day for the key shows; two to three days works better if you want to spread out the performances, interactive activities, and quieter themed areas.

Horse-war and fire performances
The Three Attacks on Zhujiazhuang is staged at the Stockade Training Ground and is the park's main horse-war performance. Iron Flower is also arranged near the Stockade Training Ground. The temperature of the molten iron and the performance time are part of the on-site programme. Whether either show runs, whether a reservation is required, and how many places are released all follow the day's mini-programme and schedule.
Interactive shows and themed areas
Matchmaking with Madam Wang (《王婆说媒》) is staged on Madam Wang Island and may include audience interaction. At Water Margin Street, the Judge Li Kui show (《李逵断案》) may be accompanied by interactions with NPC performers, such as finger guessing games or poetry exchanges. Jiulong Waterfall, Xianxia Wonderland, Silken Ancient Architecture, and the large ship at Shenzhou Square are useful stops between performances. Their themes are waterfall scenery, bamboo groves, night-time buildings, and Water Margin scenes.
Who will enjoy this visit
This park suits visitors who enjoy a full day of live programmes, walking, and waiting, as well as Hanfu photography, family interaction, and wuxia-themed experiences. If your group does not want to chase the most popular shows, focus on the themed areas, NPC interactions, and Water Margin Street, then add a major performance if places are available.
Build your day
One-day route for the main shows
Enter through the Central Gate, complete the real-name entry process, and use the official mini-program to view and reserve an available session of The Three Attacks on Zhujiazhuang. Follow the programme for smaller shows such as Judge Li Kui, eat near Water Margin Street at midday, and go to the waiting area for popular small theatres such as Matchmaking with Madam Wang 1–2 hours early.
Later in the afternoon, check the reservation places and entry requirements for Iron Flower again. If the session is full, switch to another open show or themed area listed in the day's programme. After the night visit, move towards the South Gate and order a ride according to the road conditions and queue.
Two- to three-day route
On day one, handle reservations for The Three Attacks on Zhujiazhuang, Matchmaking with Madam Wang, Iron Flower, and other performances, then build the day around the sessions you actually secured. On day two, visit Jiulong Waterfall, Xianxia Wonderland, Silken Ancient Architecture, and Water Margin Street, adding NPC interactions. A third day suits Shiliyangchang and the Wuxia Film Zone, allowing the less popular areas to be spread across the daytime.
Three-day entry applies only to the ticket types that state it. Holidays may switch to single-day, single-entry use. Places for popular shows are not assured in advance, so keep a backup route through other open areas instead of building the entire day around one major show.
Eating and leaving after the night show
Water Margin Street works for a simple meal, and other snack stalls are available around the park. After the night programme, the South Gate is usually the more practical direction for a ride, but ride-hailing queues can grow at peak times. Set the departure time according to the day's crowd and road conditions.
Get there
Public transport and entrance choice
Bus routes 33, 34, and tourist bus Y1 stop at or near “Wansui Mountain” (万岁山). First-time visitors can generally start at the Central Gate, especially when the large Stockade Training Ground shows are planned for the first half of the day. For a night departure, use the South Gate as the return navigation direction.
Driving and peak-period traffic
Traffic around the park can be heavy on weekends and public holidays, and parking may be tight. Public transport or a ride arranged in advance is more practical on peak days. For ride-hailing, use the actual open road and pick-up point; the “Wansui Mountain” bus stop, the various gates, and your starting point are different navigation targets.
Know before you go
Crowd levels and show reservations
Crowds can be heavy in summer, on weekends, and during public holidays, and the reservation system for popular shows may fill quickly. The entry reservation and the second reservation for popular programmes are separate steps. Places for major shows are not assured; if you do not get one, follow the day's programme and use another area.
Traffic, scooters and spending
Ride-hailing pick-up queues and waiting times may increase at busy periods. Some small shared e-bike brands around the park have unclear pricing, so regular buses or established ride-hailing services are safer choices. Food and stall prices and portion sizes vary; check the unit price and serving size before paying.
Night performance and safety
The night programme may continue until about 23:00, but open areas, drone shows, Iron Flower, and other performances change with the day's arrangements. For molten-iron performances, stand within the area marked by staff. Before leaving, confirm the South Gate direction, traffic, and your ride; do not wait until the programme ends to look for transport in an isolated area.
