How to Visit

Go straight to the Ping'an area
Ping'an Zhuang Village is a classic first stop in Longji. After entering the scenic area, go straight to the Ping'an area and do not mix it up with the Jinkeng cable car route.
Tip:Ping'an is its own walking area, not a cable-car route.

Start with Nine Dragons and Five Tigers
The main route links Nine Dragons and Five Tigers Viewpoint with Seven Stars with Moon Viewpoint. If your energy is limited, see Nine Dragons and Five Tigers first, then decide whether to continue.
Tip:This avoids spending too much energy before seeing the main Ping'an view.

Allow enough walking time
Ping'an does not have a cable car to the viewpoints. You mainly rely on walking and local shuttle options. Allow 3-5 hours for a relaxed visit.
Tip:A quick stop at one viewpoint can be shorter, but it will feel more like a check-in.

Choose lodging by viewpoint
If you want sunrise or a quieter experience, stay in the village overnight. When booking, check which viewpoint your guesthouse is near.
Tip:This matters especially if you want the Seven Stars with Moon sunrise view.

Insider Tips
✦If time is tight, you do not need to force both viewpoints. Nine Dragons and Five Tigers already gives you the main Ping'an view.
✦The walk to Seven Stars with Moon takes more time, and some sections are narrow. Be careful after rain.
✦If you also want to see Jinkeng Dazhai in one day, start very early and arrange transport clearly, or the day will be eaten up by transfers.
✦Higher guesthouses have better views but more steps. If you have heavy luggage, ask whether the hotel can help with pickup or carrying bags.
✦Ping'an is fairly commercial. Ask prices clearly before meals, costume photos, or local products.
