Understand the smaller-scale view
Seven Stars with Moon is also a core viewpoint in Ping'an Zhuang Village, but it has a different feel from Nine Dragons and Five Tigers.
Tip:It is better for a refined terrace composition than a large valley panorama.

Walk from Nine Dragons and Five Tigers
The smoothest route is to visit Nine Dragons and Five Tigers first, then follow the path to Seven Stars with Moon. The walk takes about 30 minutes.
Tip:It is not very long, but some sections are narrow, so slow down after rain.

Give the viewpoint enough time
If you only want to see Seven Stars with Moon, you can also walk up from Ping'an Village.
Tip:Give it 1-2 hours instead of taking one photo and leaving immediately.

Book carefully for sunrise
For sunrise, stay near Seven Stars with Moon. When booking, ask whether the room or terrace actually faces the viewpoint.
Tip:A hotel somewhere in Ping'an Village may not have the view you want.

- The core view is seven small hills around a curved water field, giving it a more delicate composition than many other viewpoints.
- Reflections are stronger in the flooded season, and early morning or late afternoon gives the best layers.
- It pairs well with Nine Dragons and Five Tigers as one Ping'an walking route, giving two very different terrace views.
- Around the viewpoint, you can see how village houses, bamboo, stone paths, and terraces connect.
- When the main platform is crowded, side angles can give cleaner lines than the center.
Insider Tips
✦Seven Stars with Moon is not the biggest-view viewpoint. If you mainly want a dramatic panorama, Jinkeng Dazhai is a better choice.
✦Bring a light jacket for early morning viewing. The mountain can feel damp and cool even in summer.
✦The paths and stone steps are not suitable for dragging luggage. If staying uphill, ask your guesthouse about pickup or luggage help in advance.
✦Do not focus only on the moon water field. A longer lens can capture better terrace layers.
✦If fog is heavy, wait a little if you have time. Mountain mist can clear suddenly.
