Build your day
1 hour: Cave highlights
After entering the visitor center, walk or take the shuttle to the cave entrance. Follow the order of Yuzhu Pool, Yicai Hall, Dongtian River and Shilin Square. After seeing “A Thousand-Year Kiss,” the giant flowstone curtain, the “underground starry sky” and the “First Pillar of Huaxia,” leave through the exit.
2 hours: Photography and slower stops
After reaching the cave entrance, slow down the visit. Photograph people with the karst scenery at Yuzhu Pool, observe the blue lighting and silhouette effects at Dongtian River, and photograph the “First Pillar of Huaxia” from below at Shilin Square. The cave route is one-way, so keep the passage clear while taking photographs; after leaving, you cannot return from the exit to see missed sights.
