Plan at a glance
Tickets are separate products
The usual entrance to Hakka World Scenic Area is the Visitor Centre. An adult walking ticket costs around CNY 50 and covers the basic walking areas only. The shuttle, Yunque Glass Bridge, Jungle Coaster and night visit are usually charged separately. A ticket plus one-way shuttle costs around CNY 95, while a package including the shuttle, glass bridge and Jungle Coaster costs around CNY 113–119; choose according to the activities you actually want.
Night tickets cost around CNY 39.9–58 and usually admit visitors after 18:00. Day opening hours are around 09:00–18:00, with the night visit running around 19:00–22:00. No advance reservation is usually required, but online tickets generally need to be bought about one hour ahead.
Suggested time and physical demands
Allow around 2–3 hours for the walking areas and Hakka Town. If you add the shuttle, glass bridge and Jungle Coaster, allow 3–4 hours. For the night lights, arrive in the afternoon and finish the main activities before the lighting begins.

Mountain walking and Hakka Town
The basic walking route can include the Clay Sculpture Corridor, Muliang Temple, Tianci Pavilion, Panlong Corridor Bridge and Hakka Town. Tianci Pavilion is one of the higher viewpoints, while the corridor bridge and mountain paths require some walking. This route suits visitors who want buildings, mountain views and a Hakka-themed area without taking the more intense rides.
Glass bridge and Jungle Coaster
The Yunque Glass Bridge and Jungle Coaster are extra-cost activities. The glass bridge costs around CNY 50–60 separately. The Jungle Coaster runs downhill and follows a different route from walking down, so confirm the shuttle, activity entrance and return path before buying a package.
Night visit and who it suits
Hakka Town and Intangible Heritage Street are more suitable for photography after the lights come on. The night visit works well for couples, photographers and visitors trying to avoid the afternoon heat. Families can choose a smaller number of activities according to the children's energy instead of buying a package and using every facility.
Build your day
A 2–3-hour walking route
Walk uphill from the Visitor Centre, passing the Clay Sculpture Corridor, Muliang Temple and Tianci Pavilion before continuing to Hakka Town. Rest briefly in the town, then follow the signs back to the entrance. If you decide to add an activity, first check whether its entrance requires you to walk back.
The basic walking ticket does not include the shuttle, glass bridge or Jungle Coaster. After reaching the bridge or a mountain activity, you may need to walk back along the route or buy another transport ticket. Check the map first and do not assume that the shuttle operates as a full circular service.
A 3–4-hour activity route
Take the shuttle uphill after entering, visit the Yunque Glass Bridge, then take the Jungle Coaster downhill if it is operating, and finish with the Panlong Corridor Bridge, Hakka Memory Square and Intangible Heritage Street. Follow the day's on-site directions for connections between activities. The shuttle is usually one-way, so confirm whether a return ride requires another ticket.
If someone in your group is afraid of heights or does not want to take the coaster, they can use the walking route and meet the rest of the group in Hakka Town or on Intangible Heritage Street. This keeps one person's activity choice from controlling the whole group's return plan.
Afternoon into the night visit
Enter at around 16:00, finish the glass bridge or Jungle Coaster first, then rest in Hakka Town and wait for the lights around 19:00. Performances and interactive activities during the night visit follow the day's schedule and should not be treated as fixed.
Get there
Driving and local transport
Drive to “Hakka World Tourist Service Centre.” The car park costs around CNY 10 per day. Driving from Guangzhou or Shenzhen takes around 3–4 hours. A taxi from Meizhou West Railway Station takes around 20–30 minutes, and taxis from Meizhou city are generally convenient.
Public transport can take you near the scenic area, but confirm the walk and shuttle arrangements after getting off. For a first visit, search for the Visitor Centre rather than only searching for the wider Hakka World resort area.
Know before you go
Ticket coverage and changes on site
The walking ticket, shuttle, glass bridge, Jungle Coaster and night ticket cover different things, so confirm each item before paying. The water-city area is outside the basic ticket; it takes around 15–20 minutes to walk there, and its lighting and opening status can vary. Do not make it a fixed part of your route.
Performances, lighting and rides can change with the date, weather or operating arrangements. Follow the notices on site, especially if you are planning your return around a particular show.
Heat, refreshments and the return trip
The mountain paths can be hot and exposed during the day. Bring water, sun protection and comfortable shoes. Shops inside the scenic area are limited and may cost more than city shops, so do not rely entirely on buying snacks there; expect crowds around the car-park exit when leaving at night.
