Qingzhou Ancient City is at 4624 Linglongshan South Road in Qingzhou, Weifang. Drivers can navigate to “Qingzhou Ancient City Visitor Center” or “Fucaimen Gate,” both useful points for finding parking and entering the old town. Qingzhou Station is the more convenient high-speed rail stop; a taxi ride from the station takes about 20 minutes.
The old-town streets are free to enter and open all day. Some attractions inside charge separately: Ouyuan Garden costs CNY 20 for adults, with half-price student tickets, while Fucaimen Gate Tower has its own ticket. Allow 2–3 hours for the main streets, Ouyuan Street and Zhaode Old Street; a full walking route with Ouyuan Garden takes about 4–5 hours.
Ouyuan Garden hours
Ouyuan Garden is a paid garden inside the old town. Its regular daytime hours are usually 08:00–17:30. Some seasons or weekdays may extend to 18:00, with ticket sales and entry usually ending around 17:00. During summer holidays and public holidays, it may stay open until 21:00, with ticket sales ending around 20:30. Hours change with the season and holiday calendar, so confirm the day’s arrangement if you plan an evening visit.

Old streets and the gate-tower view
Fucaimen Gate is a common entrance on the south side. The gate tower has a separate ticket, and its upper level looks over the tiled roofs and old-town streets. The archways along Ouyuan Street are easy to see while walking, while Zhaode Old Street has more surviving grey-brick homes and everyday street life.
Church buildings, archways and old residences are spread along the walking routes. Visitors interested in historic architecture can combine them with the streets; photographers can visit Zhaode Old Street in the morning and go up to Fucaimen Gate Tower when the light is softer.
Ouyuan Garden: a garden and historic-building stop
Ouyuan Garden is a compact garden inside Ouyuan Street. Its Three-Peak Rockery, Ming dynasty stone screen, Jiashan Hall, Songfeng Pavilion, Cuncheng Hall and rear garden can fill 1–2 hours. The Four Stones of Fu, Shou, Kang and Ning, old osmanthus trees and Ming-era winter jasmine are the details to look for.
Ouyuan suits visitors interested in gardens, historic buildings and traditional-style photography. It is small, so the visit is about the rockery, halls, plants and framed views through doors and windows rather than a full-day mountain-park itinerary.
Who it suits
History-focused visitors can combine the archways, old residences, Zhaode Old Street and the gate tower in one walking route. Photography and traditional-costume visitors can use Ouyuan, moon gates, covered walkways, old trees and the gate tower at softer times of day. There are local buns, pastries and Qingzhou dishes in and around the old town, so you can eat along Ouyuan Street without leaving the area halfway through the walk.
Build your day
2–3-hour short route
Enter through Fucaimen Gate, follow Ouyuan Street past the archways, visit Ouyuan Garden and return to Fucaimen. Spend 1–2 hours inside Ouyuan, focusing on Jiashan Hall, the Three-Peak Rockery, Woyun Pavilion, Songfeng Pavilion, Cuncheng Hall and the old trees. Decide at Fucaimen whether to buy a separate ticket for the gate tower.
This route works for a tight schedule or for visitors who want the main sights in the southern part of the old town. Ouyuan and the gate tower stop admitting visitors earlier than the open streets, so deal with the paid attractions first if you arrive in the afternoon.
4–5-hour route without retracing your steps
Enter through Fucaimen, walk along Ouyuan Street and visit Ouyuan Garden, then continue north to Zhaode Old Street. From there, you can walk west to see the church buildings before leaving through the north or east side of the old town. This separates the garden, commercial street and residential street sections and reduces backtracking.
If streets are your priority, shorten the garden visit. If historic buildings and gardens are the main reason for coming, enter Ouyuan first and decide later whether to continue to Zhaode Old Street.
1–2-hour Ouyuan Garden route
Inside Ouyuan, start with Zhilumen Gate and the Ming stone screen, then continue to Jiashan Hall, the Three-Peak Rockery and Woyun Pavilion. Follow with Songfeng Pavilion and Cuncheng Hall, and finish in the old-tree area to look for the Ming-era osmanthus and winter jasmine. If your pace and the day’s access allow, leave through the rear-garden side gate; otherwise return to the main entrance.
Get there
Arrival and parking
The taxi ride from Qingzhou Station to the old town takes about 20 minutes. Qingzhou North Station is another option, but Qingzhou Station is the more practical rail anchor for this visit. Drivers should navigate to the Visitor Center, Fucaimen or a parking area near Ouyuan Street rather than trying to park inside the old-town lanes.
Getting around
Walking is the simplest way to visit the old town. When the distances feel long, sightseeing cars, shared bicycles or electric carts may be available according to the day’s arrangements. Parking is generally outside the sightseeing area, so collecting your car still involves walking back to Ouyuan Street, Fucaimen or another exit.
Know before you go
Surfaces, access and separate tickets
Stone paving, bridges and occasional level changes make the old town harder for strollers, wheeled luggage and visitors with limited mobility. The old town is free, while Ouyuan Garden and Fucaimen Gate Tower charge separately and Ouyuan has its own ticketing hours; plan these as separate parts of the visit.
Food and street-side offers
There are many restaurants and small shops along the commercial streets, and similar or identical shop names may appear more than once. Check the shop location and price before ordering buns, pastries or drinks. Buy Ouyuan and gate-tower tickets at their own entrances rather than following unsolicited guides or tricycle drivers into paid attractions.
Evening timing
Ouyuan is a 1–2-hour stop. Summer holidays and public holidays may bring extended evening hours, but the evening schedule, last ticket time and same-day management arrangements can change. If you want sunset views from the gate tower or night scenes in the old streets, finish the paid attractions before their entry cutoff.
