Two different visit products
Shouguang Vegetable High-Tech Demonstration Park is at 108 Luocheng Street in Shouguang, Weifang, and is entered through the South Gate. It offers two different types of visit: the annual China International Vegetable Science and Technology Expo, and the regular demonstration park outside the expo period. The expo may open more halls, combination tickets and night sessions; on regular days, only some core halls are open.
The expo is usually held around April 20 to May 30, but the dates, ticket combinations, open halls and night programme change each year. During the expo, tickets are approximately CNY 50–70 and different combinations cover different halls. The daytime session is approximately 08:00–17:30, with ticket checks ending at 17:00. Outside the expo, a reference ticket is about CNY 30 and hours are approximately 08:30–17:30.
How much time to allow
During the expo, the route through Halls 8 and 10 takes about 2–3 hours; allow 4–5 hours for a broader visit. Outside the expo, the main stops are the Vegetable Museum and Hall 4, and the available time should follow the halls open that day.

Choosing halls during the expo
Hall 8 contains large landscapes built from vegetables and fruit. Hall 10 presents digital agriculture, giant pumpkins and tomato trees, while Hall 4 contains unusual plants and greenhouse displays. During the expo, the number of halls, queues and walking distances all increase, so families should choose the halls that interest their children first.
Night visits and the lighting programme in Hall 4 depend on the current expo arrangement. Confirm the opening status, ticket type and closing time for the day. Photographers can focus on Hall 8’s large installations, the giant pumpkin in Hall 10 and the greenhouse light in Hall 4.
The regular park outside the expo
Outside the expo, only some core venues, usually the Vegetable Museum and Hall 4, are open. The museum explains the park and agricultural technology, while Hall 4 focuses on plants and the greenhouse environment. The expo route through Halls 8 and 10 does not automatically apply on regular days.
Visitors interested in agriculture, greenhouses or family science activities can choose either the expo or the regular opening period. Photographers should confirm that the hall they want to shoot is open before making a special trip.
Build your day
2–3-hour expo route
Enter through the South Gate and go first to Hall 8 for the vegetable-art landscapes. Continue to Hall 10 for the giant pumpkins, tomato trees and digital-agriculture displays, then leave along the on-site route after the priority halls.
Halls 8 and 10 may have queues during the expo. Visit the popular halls near opening time, then decide whether to add Hall 4 according to the crowd. This order applies to the expo; on regular days, use the halls that are actually open.
4–5-hour full expo route
Start at the Vegetable Museum to learn about agricultural and vegetable culture, then visit Hall 4 for unusual plants. Continue to Halls 8 and 10, and add the technology displays in Halls 5–7 if they are open.
The park is large and the visit is mainly on foot. During the expo, allow time for queues, transfers between halls and the greenhouse environment. A night visit also requires a separate check of the night ticket and entrance and exit arrangements.
Regular-day route
After entering through the South Gate, check which halls are open and visit the Vegetable Museum and Hall 4 as available. If expo halls such as 8 and 10 are closed, follow the regular route instead of searching for closed venues.
Get there
Arrival and parking
Drivers can navigate to the South Gate of Shouguang Vegetable High-Tech Demonstration Park, which has a large parking lot. During the expo and public holidays, cars may be directed to a more distant temporary lot and then connected to the entrance by shuttle.
From Qingzhou Station, a taxi takes about 30–40 minutes. The halls are spread out inside the park and the visit is mainly on foot, so allow time between the south-gate parking area, ticket office and exhibition halls.
Know before you go
Expo dates and ticket coverage
Expo dates, ticket combinations, open halls and night sessions are seasonal arrangements, and the regular park has a much smaller opening range. Before buying a ticket, confirm whether you are purchasing an expo product or a regular-day product and which halls it covers.
Heat, walking and queues
Greenhouses have limited ventilation and can feel warmer than outside. Wear light shoes with good grip and bring water for the long walks. During the expo, Halls 8 and 10 may require a wait; weekdays or opening time make the route easier to manage.
Parking, food and family pacing
Temporary parking, shuttles, night visits and nearby food arrangements change with visitor numbers. With children, locate rest and drinking-water points first, then choose a route that fits the group’s stamina. Select halls according to the day’s opening status and your group’s interests.
