Stay in or near Moxi the night before
Moxi gives easier access to the visitor center and is lower than the upper camps, which helps many visitors sleep better.
Tip:Arrive rested so you can handle the bus, cableway, altitude, and return timing in one day.

Buy admission and the required scenic bus
The scenic bus is the practical way into the mountain. It carries visitors toward the higher camp and transfer areas.
Tip:Keep your ticket and ID/passport ready for checks before boarding the scenic bus.

Use the cableway if glacier views are your priority
The cableway to the upper viewing area is the most direct way to see the glacier and Gongga-related views when weather is clear.
Tip:If fog blocks the upper view, the expensive cableway may not give clear glacier or mountain views.

Add forest walks only after the upper section
After the cableway section, use lower forest paths, Moon Lake, or nearby scenic stops according to time and energy.
Tip:If you feel headache, nausea, or heavy breathing, shorten the forest section and return by bus.

Keep hot springs separate from the glacier plan
Hot-spring hotels or bathing areas can be good after the scenic visit, but they need separate time, payment, and clothing planning.
