Walk only as much boardwalk as your group can enjoy
The boardwalk is long enough to feel exposed in sun, wind, or rain. Walk the core lake-and-wetland section rather than forcing the full length.
Use quiet timing for birding and photos
Morning and later afternoon are better for light and crowds. Birding is strongest around migration periods.
Protect the return drive on the grassland
Weather, wind, and long distances make Ruoergai planning different from city sightseeing. Keep fuel, food, and return timing conservative.
