Location and entrances
Baoshi Park is on Gongyuan North Road in Yushui District, Xinyu. An artificial lake sits at the centre of the park, with entrances on the east, south, west, and north sides; choose one according to whether you want a lakeside walk, a museum visit, or the closest approach from your parking area.
Tickets and hours
Entry to the park is free and the park is open all day. The zoo and amusement area may charge separately, so their admission is not included in the park’s free entry.
How to plan the visit
Allow about 30 minutes for the lake, island, and covered corridor, or about 1.5 hours if you also want to visit a museum in the park. Fu Baoshi Memorial Museum and Ganxi War of Resistance Museum have their own opening schedules; park access does not mean that either museum is open.

Lake and garden scenery
The artificial lake is the park’s centre, and a covered corridor connects the island in the lake with the shore. Lakeside paths, stone bridges, pavilions, and reflections make the park easy to explore at a slow pace; the corridor works well for symmetrical photographs.
Museums and amusement areas
Fu Baoshi Memorial Museum and Ganxi War of Resistance Museum are separate buildings inside the park, each with its own exhibitions and visiting hours. The park also has an old-fashioned amusement area; the zoo and amusement facilities may charge separately, and Yifeng Tower may be under repair.
Who it suits
Baoshi Park works for a city walk, a family outing, Chinese-style garden photography, or a short visit to one of the small museums. Stay close to children around the lake; visitors hoping to climb the tower should check whether it is open that day.
Build your day
Lakeside short route: about 30 minutes
Enter through a convenient park gate and follow the lakeside path toward the island and covered corridor, passing pavilions and stone bridges before leaving through a nearby exit. The route is mainly an easy walk but includes some gentle rises; after the walk, you can leave or continue into the city for Xinyu fried rice noodles.
Park and memorial museum: about 1.5 hours
Enter through the east or south gate, visit Fu Baoshi Memorial Museum first, then follow the lake path and covered corridor toward the small hill beside the amusement area. If you also want Ganxi War of Resistance Museum, arrange the order around the two museums’ individual opening hours and whichever buildings are open that day.
Where to finish
The park has several exits, so a short walk can end near the gate where you entered, while a longer route can follow signs toward the east or south side. Whether Yifeng Tower can be climbed depends on its maintenance status; treat it as an optional stop.

Public transport
Bus routes 102, 305, and 803 run toward Baoshi Park, with stops near the park entrances. After getting off, follow the park signs to the east or south entrance; the final walking connection depends on the stop and the gate you choose.
Parking
Parking lots are available around the park, with fees set on site. Note which side of the park you use before walking in, because the park is large and the exit closest to your car may not be the one where you entered.
Moving around the park
The park is mainly explored on foot, and the paths have gentle rises. Walking is the practical way to move between the buildings; plan to walk between the park’s main sights and do not assume an internal shuttle will be available. Use the paths and the open gates to judge the route between museums.

Check museum hours separately
The park is open all day, but Fu Baoshi Memorial Museum and Ganxi War of Resistance Museum each have their own opening days and hours. Check the museum you want to enter before setting out; Monday closures and midday breaks follow the individual museum schedule.
Lakeside and child safety
Some sections beside the water do not have full barriers, so keep children close on the lakeside path. Rain can make paths and stone edges slippery, and fading light makes the park harder to navigate; slow down instead of walking while focused on the camera.
Fees and photography
The park itself is free. The zoo may charge separately; adult admission is around CNY 15–20 when it is operating, but check the current price on the day. The amusement area may also charge, so check which facilities are operating. Morning and late afternoon have softer light for the covered corridor, stone bridge, and lake reflections, while tower access depends on its current condition.
