Find the right service center
Guokui Mountain Scenic Area focuses on forest paths, streams, suspension bridges and waterfalls. Its entrance is in Qingyun Town. Set your navigation destination to “Guokui Mountain Scenic Area Service Center” or “Qingyun Town”; a general search for “Guokui Mountain” may point to the wrong place.
This scenic area is separate from “Sanguokui,” the mountain-top area at Sunshine Resort. Guokui Mountain is in Qingyun Town and is known for its streamside trails; Sanguokui is part of the Sunshine ski area.
Tickets and time to allow
The scenic-area ticket is about CNY 35, and the sightseeing shuttle is about CNY 20. Children under 1.2 meters are usually admitted free. Reservations are not required. The area is open from 08:00 to 16:00, and the shuttle costs extra.
A short visit using the shuttle takes about 1–1.5 hours. Allow two to three hours if you want to walk between the sights and trails. The waterfall, bridges and forest paths are spread out, so the full route involves more walking than taking the shuttle to the top for photos.

The streamside boardwalk and Yuanbao Road
The Yuanbao Road boardwalk follows a stream through the woods, with views of flowing water, rocks and forest paths. It suits visitors who enjoy an easy walk, want to escape the summer heat or would like to take children along part of a forest trail.
The electric sightseeing shuttle follows a winding mountain road with sharp bends, and the ride can feel fast. It can save energy on the way uphill. If you are uncomfortable with sharp turns or a fast ride, ask at the entrance which ways of getting uphill are available that day.
Cloud Walk, bridges and waterfalls
On the mountain, you will find the Cloud Walk viewing platform, Shanhu Suspension Bridge, Jiuqu (Nine-Bend) Bridge and a waterfall. They make good stops for stream and forest views. After rain or on an overcast day, the waterfall may have more water and mist; photo conditions depend on recent rainfall and the water level on site.
This area suits visitors who are happy to walk and want to see streams and forest. The opening status of optional attractions such as the maze and haunted house can change with maintenance, so ask before your visit. Forest trails and viewpoints form the main route.

Build your day
A 1- to 1.5-hour shuttle visit
Enter at the scenic-area service center in Qingyun Town and take the sightseeing shuttle uphill. Visit the stops open that day, then take a shuttle back; stops, schedules and return arrangements depend on the day's operations. Allow about 1–1.5 hours. If you want to add some walking, first check the stop locations and the last shuttle time.
A two- to three-hour stream and forest route
Take the sightseeing shuttle from the service center to the top. Visit the Cloud Walk viewing platform, Shanhu Suspension Bridge, Jiuqu Bridge and waterfall in sequence, then choose to walk or take the shuttle down. Allow about two to three hours for the full visit. Check the shuttle stop locations and last departure before heading downhill.
If you do not want to walk the full boardwalk, spend less time at the summit and intermediate stops. Whether you can take a shuttle downhill depends on that day's arrangements. Boardwalks and rocks beside the stream can be slippery after rain; wear shoes with good grip and stay on open routes.
Get there
From Yabuli West Station or by car from Harbin
Take a high-speed train from Harbin Station or Harbin West Station to Yabuli West Station, then take a taxi to the scenic area; the ride takes about 10 minutes, depending on traffic. Driving from Harbin takes about 2.5 hours. Parking at the scenic area is free.
Navigation and return transport
Set your navigation destination to “Guokui Mountain Scenic Area Service Center” or “Qingyun Town”; the service center is inside the town. Searching only for “Guokui Mountain” may take you somewhere without access to the sightseeing shuttle entrance. Ride-hailing supply in the resort area is limited, and return trips from remote attractions are especially unreliable. When you arrive, agree with your driver on the return time and total fare.
Know before you go
Summer trails, insects and mountain roads
The main walking section follows the stream. There are many insects in summer, especially small biting midges, so bring insect repellent, water and sun protection. Boardwalks, steps and rocks beside the stream can be slippery after rain. Wear shoes with good grip and do not enter closed areas.
The electric sightseeing shuttle travels quickly along a winding mountain road. If you are prone to motion sickness or uncomfortable with sharp turns, ask at the entrance about the ride conditions. Optional attractions such as the maze, haunted house and slide may close for maintenance or repairs; check that day's arrangements to see what is operating.
Food and facilities
Dining options in the resort area and near the scenic area are limited. You can return to Yabuli Town for Northeast Chinese dishes such as iron-pot stew and Guobaorou (crispy sweet-and-sour pork). If you also plan to visit the Panda House that day, a taxi between the Panda House and Guokui Mountain is about CNY 30 per ride; arrange transport and return rides separately.
Ask the scenic area about trail elevation changes, step-free access and whether rain causes closures. If you have limited mobility or want to limit how far you walk, check which routes are open and where the sightseeing shuttle stops before setting out.
