Plan at a glance
One resort area, several separate experiences
Yabuli is in Yabuli Town, Shangzhi, Harbin. Plan your visit around skiing, snow play, mountain and forest sightseeing, and hot springs. Yabuli Sunshine Resort and the New Sports Committee ski area are operated separately, but their ski runs are now connected by the Three-Mountain network. Choose where to start based on your ability, main goal and ticket type.
The ski season usually runs from November to March, with daytime operations generally from 08:00 to 16:30. Wind, snow conditions and maintenance can affect what is open. Ski areas, sightseeing attractions and hot springs have separate tickets and operating hours.
How much time to allow
If skiing is your main reason for visiting, allow one or two days. The Three-Mountain network links Daguokui, Ergoukui and Sanguokui mountains. Single-area tickets and packages do not automatically include cross-area access, so plan around your ticket coverage and the runs open that day.
For a sightseeing or family visit, choose one attraction near a ski area for a shorter day. In summer, you can combine mountain-top views with a forest walk. The Panda House, hot springs, sightseeing cable car and snow-play activities each require separate tickets; check that transport between stops is workable before adding another stop.

Choose your visit
Choose a ski area for your ability
The red A cable car at Sunshine Resort goes up to Sanguokui Mountain. Its signature intermediate run, Happiness Avenue (A1), and the runs served by the B cable car suit skiers with some experience who want longer descents or mountain views. The New Sports Committee ski area has a magic carpet lift in the beginner zone and the Y5 intermediate run. A ticket that includes Three-Mountain access may let you ski in other areas when the connecting runs are open.
Y5 is about 1.6 km long, with a gentler lower section where skiers who have just learned basic control can keep practicing. Cross-area access depends on the ticket, connecting runs and that day's openings. Check the operating notice before setting out.
Mountain views and family stops without skiing
The Sunshine sightseeing cable car takes visitors up for views over the forest; the mountain slide is a separate ride back down. If you do not plan to ski, take the cable car both ways. At the Panda House, you can see the pandas Sijia and Youyou. The Forest Hot Spring has indoor water areas and outdoor pools for a slower-paced stop.
Families can choose from snow tubing, snow-tank rides or horse-drawn sleigh rides, depending on what is open that day. These activities are spread across different locations in the resort, so check each one's location, hours and price. “Ice and Snow Happy Valley” is not a single park with one general-admission ticket.
For a separate forest outing on the Yabuli side, see Hufengling Bojiwaizi Scenic Area.
Build your day
One or two days of skiing
For a one-day ski visit, choose your main entrance, ticket type and priority first. Complete beginners can start in the beginner area at the New Sports ski area or take a lesson. Skiers with some experience can use the A cable car, Happiness Avenue and B area at Sunshine, or continue to other mountains if their ticket allows it and the connecting runs are open. Daily openings determine which runs and cross-area routes are available.
With two days, you can ski different areas or use the extra time to practice. If you also want to go snow tubing, take a horse-drawn sleigh ride or visit the Panda House, schedule each stop around its location and operating hours.
A non-skiing winter visit or a summer day
For a short winter outing without skiing, take the Sunshine sightseeing cable car up, spend time at the top and ride back down. If you are considering the mountain slide, check that it is open and suits your group. Allow about one to three hours for the Panda House as a separate stop; do not count it in the time set aside for the mountain-top attractions.
In summer, you can pair the Sunshine cable-car viewpoint with the stream trail at Guokui Mountain, but the two stops require separate travel and tickets. The forest train near Qingyun Town takes about 40–50 minutes round trip and often closes for maintenance or weather. Add it only after checking that it is running that day; the animal area at its terminus is small, so do not plan it as a main attraction.
Get there
From Harbin
Take a high-speed train from Harbin Station or Harbin West Station to Yabuli West Station; the trip takes about 1–1.5 hours. From the station, take a bus for about CNY 5 or a taxi to your chosen ski area or hotel. Transfer arrangements depend on the destination.
Harbin Nangang Coach Station also has long-distance buses to “Yabuli Ski Resort.” Driving from Harbin takes about three hours. Set your navigation destination to Sunshine Resort, the New Sports Committee ski area or the entrance for the specific activity you booked.
Getting around and parking
The ski areas and attractions are spread out. Ride-hailing supply is limited, and bus connections vary by destination. Arrange a pickup and return ride before traveling between stops.
Parking fees depend on the destination. Sunshine Resort has a large free car park; fees at other locations vary. Follow the signs at the relevant entrance.
Know before you go
Check tickets, equipment and services separately
Winter ski-ticket prices vary by run, duration and date. Packages may charge separately for skis, ski clothing, helmets, protective gear or lessons. Yabuli has a Three-Mountain network, but a single-area ticket or package does not automatically include cross-area access. Before paying, check whether the product explicitly includes Three-Mountain access, which areas it covers, whether station pickup is included and which runs are open that day. Nearby ski areas or a package name do not establish cross-area access.
Sightseeing cable cars, the mountain slide, snow-play activities, the Panda House and hot springs each have separate tickets. Mountain cable cars and the mountain slide can close because of weather or maintenance. Food in the resort can be expensive; check menu prices before ordering. Agree on the scope and total price for equipment rental or a private car in advance.
Wind, ice and return transport
Yabuli is cold and windy in winter. Wind chill and icy runs can make skiing more difficult. Wear windproof, warm clothing. If your technique is still developing, stay on runs suited to your ability; a ticket with Three-Mountain access is not a reason to try a run beyond your level.
Last shuttle times and return transport vary by activity area. Confirm the outbound and return trips and the total fare with your accommodation provider or driver. For summer walks, bring water and insect repellent.
