Plan at a glance

Free beach and paid areas

Beiluo Bay Scenic Area is on Beiluo Bay Avenue on Hailing Island. Common entrances include the main Beiluo resort entrance and the mountain park entrance. Pearl White Beach and some coastal paths are free. The mountain park sightseeing ticket is CNY 68; the cliff-pool sightseeing ticket is CNY 90, and swimming tickets are CNY 168–298. Hotel privileges, pool access, and other services are not general rules for every visitor.

The wider area is open 08:00–18:00, while the beach is accessible all day and the mountain park usually runs 08:30–17:30. Allow 1.5–2 hours for the free beach. If you want the mountain park, cliff pool, and a coastal walk, allow 3–4 hours and check which paths are open first.

Walkway and swimming boundaries

Some sections of the coastal walkway may be closed for construction, so do not assume that the full shoreline path is connected. Pearl White Beach has no lifeguard service and is for walking and beach play, not swimming. The cliff pool is a separately managed, paid facility; confirm its opening, swimming access, and equipment rules on the day.

Choose your visit

Pearl White Beach and coastal views

The free beach is suited to a shoreline walk, tide watching, and a weather-dependent sea view. You may see exposed flats at low tide, but slippery ground and the lack of lifeguard supervision mean it is not a swimming area. With children, stay on dry, level sand.

The mountain park’s viewpoints look across Beiluo Bay and suit visitors who want some height without a long beach walk. Cafés and rest stops are part of the resort facilities; check whether they are open, and do not rely on them as your only source of food or water.

The cliff pool and who it suits

The cliff pool suits couples and photographers who have a specific plan to take photos or swim. A sightseeing ticket and a swimming ticket are different. Non-hotel guests should not assume that a sightseeing ticket includes swimming; check the cap, age, weather, and safety requirements before entering the water.

Build your day

A 1.5–2 hour free-coast route

Drive to Beiluo Parking and begin at an open beach entrance. If you see a barrier or construction notice on the coastal path, turn around within the open area rather than following an unmarked detour. Return to the car park or continue to Zhapo for a meal; this route suits visitors who do not want to buy tickets.

This route is for beach observation and play, not swimming. Leave the tide line if the water rises, the wind strengthens, or children become tired. Do not stay simply to wait for sunset if the return light is fading.

A 3–4 hour mountain and coast route

Enter through the mountain park, visit the viewpoints, and then choose the cliff pool or coastal path only if it is open that day. Buying a mountain park ticket does not guarantee that every coastal section is connected. If the walkway is closed, return through the park instead of using the free beach entrance as an unofficial connection.

Placing the pool visit in the middle or later part of the route makes the timing easier to manage. With a sightseeing ticket, focus on the view and photos. If you intend to swim, confirm the swimming ticket, cap, changing facilities, and shower arrangements, and allow time for queues and departure.

Get there

High-speed rail and island transport

A taxi or shared ride from Yangjiang Station usually takes about one hour. From Zhapo, use a taxi or rent an electric two-wheeler from a proper operator. Holiday traffic can be heavy even on a bike, so follow road and parking rules.

Parking and entrances

Drive to “Beiluo Resort Parking”. Parking charges follow the signs, and spaces may be limited during holidays. Use a clearly permitted car park rather than stopping at a roadside, commercial entrance, or unmarked open space just to shorten the walk.

Know before you go

Construction, tickets, and safety

Check the coastal walkway, mountain park, and pool status before buying a ticket. Do not climb barriers, use an undeveloped path to connect beaches, or enter a closed area. Pearl White Beach has no lifeguards and is not open for swimming.

The coast is sunny, and moving between the mountain and pool involves slopes, steps, and waiting. Bring water, sunscreen, and shoes with good grip. Adults should stay with children on the beach and viewpoints, and everyone should follow any pause or closure during strong wind or thunderstorms.

Food, accommodation, and return plans

Restaurant and café prices, hours, and seating can change by season. Plan the main meal in Zhapo or at your accommodation. Before choosing a Beiluo hotel, decide whether you need a pool or sea view; do not apply hotel guest privileges to a normal admission ticket.
