Plan at a glance

Check the programme first

Three Gorges Romance Park is at No. 9 Sanjiang Road, Lucheng Subdistrict, Yidu. It is a performance-focused theme park, not in central Yichang. Park hours are about 10:00–21:00, while main shows often appear at 14:00 and 19:30. Sessions change by date, season, and holiday, so use the programme for the purchased date to set the order after entering.

Online tickets are about CNY 118 for the audience section and CNY 138 for VIP seating. After purchase, you may also need to reserve a main-show session through an SMS link or the park's channel. Confirm the ticket type, reservation method, and session together; a park ticket does not automatically mean that a main-show seat has been selected.

Who it suits

This park suits visitors who want a large stage production, themed streets, and a half-day or evening in Yidu. The main show lasts about 1 hour, while the streets, smaller theatres, and parade use time according to the day's programme. Evening visitors also need a separate return plan from Yidu to Yichang.

Choose your visit

Main show: “Three Gorges Romance”

The main show has five acts: “Dayu Kaijiang (《大禹开江》),” “Chufeng Guoyun (《楚风国韵》),” “Changban Xiongfeng (《长坂雄风》),” “Zhaojun Chusai (《昭君出塞》),” and “Gaoxia Chu Pinghu (《高峡出平湖》).” It uses stage, water, and holographic effects and lasts about 1 hour. It should be the first item to secure on a first visit; the exact session and entry requirements follow the purchase confirmation.

Other theatres and parades

On some dates, the programme may include “Zheng He Xia Xiyang (《郑和下西洋》),” “Yichang Baoweizhan (《宜昌保卫战》),” “Da Dizhen (《大地震》),” and an outdoor parade. Check whether they are running, along with their time and location, in the day's programme. Secure the main show first, then use the programme to arrange the other theatres.

Streets and photography

Chuanyue Street (穿越街), Shijing Street (市井街), and Huajie (花街) provide themed architecture, Republican-era streetscapes, and local displays for walking photography before or after the main show. The streets and the natural gorge are different kinds of visit. Xunlong Water Street opposite the park works for food and a short walk after leaving.

Build your day

Work backward from a daytime main show

After entering, check the day's programme and confirm the main-show session. If the show is in the afternoon, walk through Chuanyue Street (穿越街) and Shijing Street (市井街) and see other confirmed performances before arriving at the theatre early. After the show, photograph Huajie (花街) or go to Xunlong Water Street, depending on the day's timing.

Work backward from an evening main show

For an evening session, use the day for the streets, confirmed small theatres, and parade, and put entry and exit times on the same schedule before watching the main show. 19:30 is a common showtime, but plan around the session on your ticket. After the performance, return by the reserved vehicle or available public transport.

Quick half-day route

With limited time, secure the main show first, then choose part of Chuanyue Street (穿越街) and Shijing Street (市井街) and skip unconfirmed performances. Allow about 3–4 hours for a shorter visit, but show sessions, queues, and street activities can change the pace. 11:00, 14:00, and 19:30 are not fixed daily sessions.

Get there

Driving and parking

Navigate to “Three Gorges Romance Park” and use Xunlong Bay parking. Parking is free for 30 minutes, CNY 3 for 2 hours, then CNY 1 per hour, capped at CNY 15 per 24 hours, but the rule may change. For an evening show, confirm the parking area and exit arrangement before leaving.

Public transport

Buses 301, 302, 303, and 305 serve Xunlong Bay or Sanjiang Xunlongqing stops. From Yichang East Railway Station, use intercity bus 821 or a tourism direct bus to Yidu. Do not infer the late return from the outbound service; include the last bus, a ride-hailing car, or a reserved transfer after purchase.

Xunlong Water Street

Xunlong Water Street is opposite the park and within walking distance, making it useful for food and a short stop before or after the main show. It is a separate place from the park's themed streets, so evening visitors should include the crossing, meal, and return meeting time in the post-show plan.

Know before you go

Seating and effects

Audience and VIP sections have different prices. Middle seats in rows 3–8 are only an experience-based guideline; actual sightlines depend on the venue and session. Front rows may be exposed to stage water or other effects, but the area affected cannot be guaranteed. Prepare cameras and children according to the confirmed seating information.

Tickets and sessions

After purchase, reserve the main-show session through the SMS link or the park's channel. Online price and a fixed session are not automatically linked. Other theatres, parades, and street activities change by date; if the programme changes, reorder the visit from the day's performance list and do not treat unconfirmed items as must-see stops.

Food and late return

Food inside the park may be relatively expensive; use Xunlong Water Street for a meal or bring water and a simple snack. After a late show, arrange public transport, a ride-hailing car, or a transfer from Yidu to Yichang ahead of time. The end of the performance does not itself solve the return trip.
