Choose a sub-attraction first
Xiaofeng Scenic Area is not one automatic all-attractions ticket and has no single universal entrance. Three Gorges Grand Waterfall, Golden Lion Cave, and Three Gorges Ancient Military Village sell tickets and operate separately. For a day plan, choose the main target first, then combine attractions according to road distance and the earliest stop-entry time.
The waterfall alone takes about 2–3 hours; the waterfall plus Golden Lion Cave works as a full-day combination; Ancient Military Village has its own opening window and walking demands. The exact connection between them depends on that day's roads and ticket arrangements.
Tickets and arrival
Prices are about CNY 105 online or CNY 115 on site for Three Gorges Grand Waterfall, CNY 45 online or CNY 66 on site for Golden Lion Cave, and CNY 29–58 for Three Gorges Ancient Military Village. The attraction bus, cave shuttle, and parking are charged separately, and prices and ticket channels may change.

Three Gorges Grand Waterfall
The main experience is walking the path toward the main waterfall and passing through the spray zone. It suits visitors who enjoy water play, families, and summer cooling. Crossing the spray requires waterproof and non-slip equipment, plus extra time for wet paths and changing clothes.
Golden Lion Cave
Golden Lion Cave is a karst cave with an interior temperature of about 18°C. It suits visitors who dislike heat or enjoy stalactites and geological scenery. The parking area and cave entrance are connected by an internal shuttle; the cave is a different half-day or cool-afternoon experience from playing in the waterfall.
Three Gorges Ancient Military Village
Three Gorges Ancient Military Village centres on hilltop stone buildings and a mountain settlement built with stacked boulders. It suits visitors interested in historic architecture, local history, and light hiking.

Three Gorges Grand Waterfall only
Use the Three Gorges Grand Waterfall Visitor Center as the single-point navigation target. After entering, take the attraction bus, walk the path to the main waterfall, and follow the day's one-way route back. Allow about 2–3 hours; the core visit covers the shuttle, walkway, main waterfall, and return. If you plan to cross the spray zone, also allow time for waterproof gear, slippery paths, and changing clothes.
Waterfall plus Golden Lion Cave
Spend the morning at Three Gorges Grand Waterfall, allowing time for the spray crossing and viewpoints. Go to nearby Golden Lion Cave in the afternoon and take its internal shuttle to the cave entrance. The attractions are separate: buy separate tickets, check separate stop-entry times, and arrange the return by car or direct bus.
Ancient Military Village as a separate plan
If the group prefers history and walking, make Three Gorges Ancient Military Village the main attraction and decide whether to add another area according to energy. It is open until about 18:00, but the waterfall or cave stop-entry time cannot be used in its place.
Get there
Direct bus
Direct attraction buses from Yichang East Railway Station and the Three Gorges Visitor Center reach the Xiaofeng area. Direct buses cost about CNY 25 one way and take about 1–1.5 hours; some services detour to collect passengers, making the trip longer. Check the return ticket or departure against the specific sub-attraction and operating time.
Public bus and driving
From Yiling Square, take B100 to Yiling Bus Station and transfer to a Xiaofeng-bound minibus. The number of transfers and waiting time make this a poor fit for the last entry window. Driving from central Yichang takes about 40–60 minutes. Parking at each visitor center is about CNY 10 per vehicle.

Treat opening hours separately
Three Gorges Grand Waterfall and Golden Lion Cave currently operate around 08:00–16:30, with entry stopping at 16:00. Three Gorges Ancient Military Village operates around 08:00–18:00. These are different operators' schedules and may change with holidays, weather, and visitor volume; when combining attractions, work back from the earliest stop-entry time.
Transport and weather
The direct bus may detour to pick up passengers, and rain can change road and waterfall walking conditions. Golden Lion Cave feels cool, the waterfall area gets visitors wet, and Ancient Military Village has slopes and walking. Prepare shoes and clothing for the main target rather than applying one sub-attraction's comfort level to the entire area.
Food and combination limits
Farmhouse restaurants are available near Xiaofeng and can work between two attractions or on the return trip. If Three Gorges Grand Waterfall is the main visit, prepare for rain gear, the spray crossing, and slippery walkways.
