Golden Flower Pavilion and the flower valley
Take the cable car to Golden Flower Pavilion (金花阁) at the summit. Along the way are photo stops such as Lover’s Flower Valley (情人花谷), the Hundred-Metre Forest Corridor (百米林廊), and the Succulent Great Wall (多肉长城). Cable-car seats have heating, and the summit offers views over the valley. Flowering periods and trail access change during summer, so choose your stops from the current activity list.
Family activities and outdoor rides at the base
At the base, there is a children’s playground, trampoline, archery, and a flower field. Other activities include mountain coasters, grass skiing, go-karts, UTV off-road rides, and downhill mountain biking. Families can combine the cable-car views with children’s activities; outdoor-sports fans can choose mountain biking or a UTV ride. A children’s pass with 10 self-selected activities is about CNY 99 as a reference; check the activities sold that day.
Evening events and who will enjoy it
Bonfires, barbecues, or molten-iron fireworks are scheduled only on some summer evenings. Check the day’s announcement to see whether an event is happening. Genting suits families, visitors looking for a short summer escape, and anyone who wants sightseeing and outdoor activities in one resort area.
Build your day
A 2–3-hour cable-car visit
Enter from the main access beside Genting Hotel and take the cable car directly to Golden Flower Pavilion. After photos and sightseeing, return by cable car and visit the children’s playground at the base. Although the park stays open until 20:00, the cable car stops taking visitors uphill at about 18:00; plan summit visits around the lift schedule.
A half-day or full-day mountain itinerary
Take the cable car to the summit first, then walk through Lover’s Flower Valley and the Hundred-Metre Forest Corridor if they are open. Return to the base by cable car and try grass skiing, a mountain coaster, or go-karts. If you want to mountain-bike or join a UTV activity, shorten the walking portion and schedule it during the base-area activity hours. Follow on-site directions between activities.
Evening and return
If an evening performance or barbecue is scheduled, take the cable car back down first, then check the announcement for the event location, finish time, and return transport to your hotel. Complete the summit visit before the cable car’s operation ends at about 18:00. The underground parking route at Taizi Hotel apartments is complex; confirm your building and garage exit before leaving.
Get there
Shuttle from Taizicheng Station
The high-speed train from Beijing Qinghe or Beijing North Station to Taizicheng takes about one hour. After leaving the station, follow the resort signs to the free shuttle serving Genting hotels. Confirm the departure point and schedule with your hotel before travelling. On the return trip, allow time to walk into the station and follow the signs to the entrance.
Driving and parking
Driving from Beijing takes about 2–2.5 hours. Navigate to Genting Hotel or the hotel you have booked. Genting Hotel has free surface and underground parking. Parking at Taizi Hotel apartments is also free, but the garage route is complex; if it is your first visit, confirm the hotel building and garage entrance to avoid circling inside.

Cable car, weather, and clothing
The summer average temperature is around 16–22°C as a reference, with noticeable differences between morning and evening; mountain rain is also possible. Bring a long-sleeved layer, sun protection, and rain gear. The cable car usually finishes before the park closes, so schedule the summit visit around its hours and confirm that it is operating that day.
Passes and activity costs
Hotel packages or family passes may include cable-car or admission entitlements for two people. Check the number of people covered and each included activity on the order; extra visitors or items cost more. The 2026 promotional prices for the cable car, mountain bike, and family activities apply only to that year’s promotion. Check the current season’s ticket page for later prices, and choose from the activities on sale if one is not operating.
Food and nearby options
Dining choices inside the resort are limited and relatively expensive, and some shops close early. Options include Laocunzhang Iron-Pot Stew, Qinglong Restaurant, and Taizi Canteen. For more restaurants, go to Chongli town. Thaiwoo Ski Resort is about a 10-minute drive away, with a night market and more dining choices; Xueruyi is another separate stop. Cuiyunshan Forest Scenic Area is about 30–40 minutes away and offers hiking and flower fields. These are separate destinations with their own tickets and transport.
