The resort has more than 30 runs, over 80% of them intermediate or advanced. It is best suited to skiers with some experience who want to practise on a range of slopes.

Choose your visit
Runs in the east, central, and west zones
The resort’s east, central, and west zones spread out from the summit, with lifts and runs at different difficulty levels. Yulong and Yinlong are common choices for intermediate and advanced skiers. The East Zone’s Changlong run is useful for getting a feel for the day’s snow; Jinlong and Tenglong in the Central Zone, as well as advanced runs in the West Zone, demand more speed control and turning skill.
Summit lodge and snowy forest views
The summit lodge restaurant and viewing platform are beside the top stations of Lift 1 or Lift 2, with views of the ridges and ski runs. For forest scenery, look near the RV campground below the upper section of Yinlong or by the entrance to Yulong. After snowfall, rime may form in the early morning when temperatures are low and winds are light, but whether it appears and how long it lasts depend on the weather that day. Take photos only from safe areas where the resort permits visitors to stop. Do not unclip and enter the woods or stop on a run.
Build your day
A 2–3-hour run session
Start at the ski-equipment hall to collect your ticket and rental gear and get dressed. Then choose a lift and run based on the current trail map. Skiers with intermediate or advanced skills can try Yulong or Yinlong. If you are not confident with changing slope grades, ask an instructor or resort staff to recommend a run instead of following others onto an advanced route.
A 4–6-hour session across zones
Warm up on Changlong in the East Zone in the morning and assess the snow conditions. Once comfortable, move to the Central Zone and choose Jinlong, Tenglong, or another run that matches your ability. Go to the advanced runs in the West Zone only if your stamina, skill, and the day’s operating conditions all allow it. Return to the base equipment hall using a lift that is open.
A multi-day ski trip
Advanced skiers can consider a multi-day ticket and a ski-in/ski-out hotel, then practise on different runs each day. For one day, choose the East Zone or the East and Central Zones. Moving between zones requires lifts; before leaving, confirm shuttle times toward your hotel or Chongli town.
Get there
High-speed rail and resort shuttles
From Beijing, take a high-speed train to Chongli or Taizicheng Station, then transfer to the resort shuttle or take a taxi. The drive is about 20–30 minutes. The free resort shuttle has limited capacity and may involve a wait. For the return trip, use a boarding point and departure time you have confirmed.
Driving and parking
Driving from Beijing takes about 3–4 hours. The resort has a large parking lot. Watch for icy and snowy roads when travelling in and out of Chongli. Roads between town and the resort can be congested on weekends and public holidays, so check traffic and allow time for parking, collecting gear, and getting dressed.
Know before you go
Snow conditions, open runs, and safety
Run difficulty and operating status change by season. Check Wanlong’s trail map for the day before choosing a route. Intermediate and advanced slopes can be steep; do not attempt an unfamiliar run without the skills for it. Some runs may become icy in the afternoon, so snowboard beginners should take particular care. Take photos only in safe places where stopping is allowed; stay out of the woods and do not stop across a run.
Rentals, food, and breaks
Food and accommodation at the resort are relatively expensive. Ski-gear rental is around CNY 180 per day as a reference. To save money, stay in Chongli town and rent gear there; ask the rental shop whether delivery to your hotel is available. In town, options include Shiweixian, Dunxiangju, and Suanzhengzheng Milk Skin, with meals generally around CNY 30–80 per person.
Set aside another day for Fulong
Fulong Ski Resort is about 8 km from Wanlong, or around a 20-minute drive, so you can visit the two resorts on separate days. They operate independently and require separate tickets; a Wanlong ski ticket does not include Fulong.
