Plan Sidonggou as an easy waterfall walk

Sidonggou is mainly about four waterfalls and a creek-valley path. It is less demanding than the Great Waterfall and Buddha Light Rock, and works well as a relaxed half-day visit.

Use a sightseeing bus plus walking if you want to save energy

For an easier visit, take the sightseeing bus toward the later section, then walk back through the waterfalls. If you have enough stamina, walk from the entrance along the creek all the way to the fourth waterfall.

Focus on the four waterfalls instead of chasing every side path

The first waterfall has a water-curtain feel and can be approached closely. The second and third waterfalls are better for creek and smaller waterfall photos, while the fourth, Bailongtan Waterfall, has the stronger drop.

Allow 3-4 hours

Sidonggou is relatively close to Chishui city, so it can pair with Datong Ancient Town or a meal back in town.
