How to Visit
1

Visit Tianxingqiao in the morning of your Huangguoshu day

Tianxingqiao is included in the Huangguoshu through ticket and does not require a separate entrance ticket. It takes more time and energy than Doupotang and the Great Waterfall.

Tip:In peak season, Tianxingqiao usually runs about 07:00-18:00, so it is usually not a good final stop.
2

It is fine to focus only on the lower highlight section

If time or energy is limited, focus on the lower section around Yinlian Zhuitan Waterfall, the water stone forest, and Tianxing Cave.

Tip:The upper section is more like a longer stone-forest walkway, so first-time visitors with limited time do not need to force the full route.
3

Allow time for wet steps and one-way crowd flow

The paths inside Tianxingqiao are narrow, with many steps, and areas near water become more slippery after rain. A full visit often takes 2-3 hours.

Tip:If traveling with older visitors or children, do not estimate your time based on fast online routes.
4

Continue by sightseeing bus after Tianxingqiao

After finishing Tianxingqiao, use the scenic-area bus to continue to Doupotang or the Great Waterfall and avoid repeated transfers.

Tip:On crowded days, finishing Tianxingqiao first reduces pressure from closing times later in the day.
Highlights
  • Yinlian Zhuitan Waterfall is the most worthwhile point in Tianxingqiao and looks very different from the Great Waterfall.
  • The water stone forest is best seen slowly, with stone, water, and trees mixed along the same walkway.
  • Tianxing Cave is a useful cave add-on if you have enough time.
  • The lower section is more concentrated than the upper section and works better for visitors with limited energy.
  • It makes a Huangguoshu day feel like more than one large waterfall.
Insider Tips

Do not underestimate the walking count in Tianxingqiao; comfortable anti-slip shoes matter more than photo shoes.

There are supply points inside, but do not wait until you are tired in the lower section to look for water.

When tour groups are heavy, arriving early works better than trying to find shortcuts.

Many lower-section areas are slippery, so do not cross railings or stand on wet stones by the water for photos.

If you still need to see the Great Waterfall that day, do not move too slowly through Tianxingqiao.
