How to Visit

A quiet Tunpu village for a half-day visit
The ticket is CNY 20. From Anshun city, it takes about 25 minutes by car or taxi.
Tip:This is not a lively commercial ancient town. Come for Yunshantun, Benzhai, stone houses, and old Tunpu lanes.

Start with the main street of Yunshantun
After entering, follow the stone-paved street to see the gates, stone walls, old houses, and the Ming-Qing-style main lane, then step into the side alleys.
Tip:There are slopes and stone steps inside the village. After rain, anti-slip shoes are much safer than photo shoes.

Continue to Benzhai if you have time
Benzhai is connected with Yunshantun and helps you see how Tunpu buildings look defensive outside but courtyard-like inside.
Tip:Do not leave after taking photos at the entrance. The value of Yunfeng Tunpu is in the lanes and building details.

Do not rely on Dixi performance as the whole visit
Tunpu culture is part of the area, but Dixi and folk activities may not have fixed daily shows.
Tip:If you catch a performance, treat it as a bonus. If not, 1-2 hours for the village itself is still enough.

✦Signs around the rear gate are not always clear, so watch your direction when returning to the parking area.
✦Some old houses can only be viewed from outside, and not every building is open for entry.
✦If you also visit Jiuzhou Old Town on the same day, you do not need to spend too long at Yunfeng Tunpu.
✦A taxi or car from Anshun city is the easiest option; public transport makes the half-day trip more complicated.
