How to Visit
1

Treat Tianlong Tunpu as a half-day cultural stop in Anshun

For current visitor planning, use the entrance ticket and sightseeing bus package at CNY 89 and allow 2-4 hours.

Tip:This is not a major natural scenic area; its value is in the stone village, Tunpu culture, and Dixi performance.
2

Start with the old street and stone buildings

After entering, walk slowly through the stone walls, slab lanes, narrow alleys, and old houses, then continue toward Shen Wansan Former Residence and the performance area.

Tip:The route is not very difficult, but the stone paving is uneven and slippery in rain, so thin-soled shoes are not suitable.
3

Make the Dixi performance the key point

Dixi is the most distinctive experience at Tianlong Tunpu, with common performance blocks in the morning and afternoon, so confirm the day's schedule first on site.

Tip:If you miss the performance, the lanes alone will give much less cultural context.
4

Add Tiantai Mountain Wulong Temple only if you have energy

If you still have 1-1.5 hours, continue to Tiantai Mountain Wulong Temple for the stone-built temple and surrounding hill views.

Tip:Tiantai Mountain adds climbing and walking, so it is not a good forced add-on after a tiring Huangguoshu day.
Highlights
  • The stone buildings in Tunpu still show a clear military-defense character.
  • Dixi masks and performance style help visitors understand Tunpu culture directly.
  • The old street is better for slow walking than rushed photo stops.
  • Tiantai Mountain Wulong Temple is a useful extension if you have enough energy.
  • Compared with Huangguoshu, this place is quieter and adds history and local culture to an Anshun trip.
Insider Tips

Confirm the day's Dixi performance times first, then decide the order of the old street and Tiantai Mountain.

Ask before photographing local residents or traditional clothing.

Do not expect a large commercial ancient town; Tianlong Tunpu is better for travelers interested in history and local culture.

If taking a taxi from Anshun city, arrange the return trip ahead of time too.

If you have already walked Tianxingqiao that day, do not force the climb up Tiantai Mountain.
