How to Visit
1

Visit it as part of your Weizhou Island plan

Shiluokou Beach is a free beach stop once you are already on Weizhou Island with the island entry ticket. It works best as a half-day or sunset stop, not as a separate reason to visit the island.

Tip:Plan it after your ferry, island entry ticket, and main island route are already settled.
2

Use island transport rather than walking

An electric scooter is the most flexible way to reach the beach. If you do not ride, take the island bus toward the Crocodile Mountain visitor area and walk from there where practical.

Tip:Distances between Weizhou Island sights are too spread out for a comfortable walking-only plan.
3

Time it for late afternoon and sunset

Arrive after 4 pm if you want softer light and a cooler beach visit. Check the tide if you want to photograph the sea-eroded cliffs, reefs, and shoreline textures.

Tip:Some reef and cliff photo areas may be unsafe or unreachable when the tide is not suitable.
4

Separate free beach time from paid activities

Beach access is simple, but diving, motorboats, beach chairs, umbrellas, and other seaside services cost extra. Ask prices before agreeing to anything.

Tip:Agree on the price, duration, and included items before using any water sport or rental service.
Highlights
  • One of Weizhou Island's easier sunset beach stops.
  • Sea cliffs, reefs, and beach textures are more interesting when the tide is suitable.
  • More relaxed than trying to rush multiple island beaches in one afternoon.
  • Useful if you want a beach stop near the island's western coastline.
  • Best treated as a scenic add-on rather than a full-day attraction.
Insider Tips

Tide conditions matter here; low and high tide can make the shoreline feel quite different.

Wear shoes or sandals that can handle coral fragments, shells, and uneven ground.

If you ride a scooter, leave before it gets too dark unless you are confident with island roads.

Confirm water-sport prices, timing, and what is included before paying.
