How to Visit
1

Arrive at Zhujiang New Town Station

Take Metro Line 3 or 5 to Zhujiang New Town Station (珠江新城站), Exit A — this opens directly into the southern end of Huacheng Square. Alternatively, take the driverless APM line to Grand Theatre Station (大剧院站) or Huacheng Square Station.

APM line is driverless — the front carriage offers great views of the CBD
2

Walk the Southern Lawns and Water Features

The southern section of the square features open lawns and meandering streams — a relaxing green space in the heart of the CBD. During the day this area is great for photos with the Canton Tower backdrop. The 花城汇 underground mall is here for food options.

Afternoon 17:00-18:00 is the sweet spot for golden hour photography
3

Find the Classic Reflection Shot

Navigate to Exit B of 妇儿中心地铁站 — a short walk from the main square. This spot captures the Canton Tower and IFC Tower reflections in standing water on clear nights. This is the signature Huacheng Square photo.

Best on weeknights when water is cleaner; weekends can be murky
4

Watch the Music Fountain Light Show

Head to the music fountain area (south side near Canton Tower view). The water columns dance to music with colored lights — timing depends on the day's schedule. Shows typically run multiple times evening. Arrive 10 minutes early to secure a viewing spot.

Monday and Thursday nights the fountain is under maintenance — no show
5

Stroll to Haixinsha Park

Walk south along the riverbank from the square toward Haixinsha Park — about 15 minutes. The park offers an unobstructed view of Canton Tower across the water, perfect for night photography. Alternatively, cross the Haixin Bridge for a different tower-river composition.

Combine with Haixinsha Park for a complete evening riverside walk
Highlights
  • Canton Tower night view — the square faces south giving unobstructed tower views

  • Classic reflection shot near 妇儿中心地铁站 B Exit — Canton Tower + IFC in standing water
  • APM (driverless metro) — scenic ride through the CBD as a mini attraction itself
