How to Visit
1

Arrive at Yide Lu Station

Take Metro Line 2 or 6 to Yide Lu Station (一德路站), Exit A or B. Walk approximately 5 minutes to the cathedral at 56 Jiubuju, Yuexiu District.

Avoid the station labeled 'Yide Road' if traveling from a different direction — use the Chinese name to confirm
2

Admire the Exterior Architecture

The cathedral stands approximately 58.5 meters tall, constructed entirely from granite. The twin spires, pointed arches, and flying buttresses are visually striking from the square in front.

The best exterior photo angle is from the plaza directly facing the main entrance
3

Enter and Experience the Interior

Step inside to see the spectacular stained glass rose windows. When sunlight passes through, the interior fills with colorful patterns — a genuinely magical effect.

Free guided broadcast announcement typically starts around 4:30 PM daily
4

Find the Cornerstone Plaques

Look for the two plaques embedded in the east and west walls — one reads 'Jerusalem 1863' and the other 'Roma 1863', commemorating the soil and stone brought from those holy cities at the foundation laying.

Unique detail you won't find at most other churches
