An indoor commercial lane inside Qunli Wangfujing Mall
Guandong Ancient Lane is at 770 Qunli Fifth Avenue in Daoli District, inside Qunli Wangfujing Mall. It is now a two-level indoor commercial lane. After the 2024 “Chengyu in Xiang” upgrade, fewer historic sculptures and original snack-street elements remain; the current content is closer to fashionable food, photo installations and evening leisure.
The lane itself has no admission ticket, but actual access depends on the mall's open entrances and individual shop hours. A quick route takes about 30–50 minutes and a full food-and-photo visit about 2–3 hours. It suits indoor rest, photographs and dinner rather than deep historical sightseeing.
Find the mall entrance first
Navigate to Qunli Wangfujing Mall and enter the lane through the mall; do not look for a separate historic-street gate. Sports Park Station on Metro Line 2 can be followed by walking or a bus transfer. Bus routes 95 and 117 stop at Qunli Fifth Avenue. Drivers can use the mall's surface or underground parking.

The “Harbin” wall and two-level lane
The entrance “Harbin” wall is the easiest landmark. Along the main street are an “I ❤️ HARBIN” sign wall, a Yue Lao blessing wall and a pink rabbit installation. The second-floor corridor looks over the crowd and lights, suited to visitors who like indoor visual installations and portraits.
Some Chinese Baroque-style structure remains, but neon signs, cartoon installations and restaurant signs occupy more of the current scene. Watch the mall circulation while photographing, stand to the side and keep escalators, stairs and restaurant entrances clear.
Night lighting and food
For a full route, enter in the evening, photograph the entrance and second-floor corridor, watch the lights after dark and then choose food such as Yunnan hotpot, grilled fish, Korean spicy chicken feet or Dongfang Dumplings. Light shows and shop hours may change; add an activity only when it is running.
Keep historical expectations realistic
The current core is a modern commercial lane with food and photo installations. Historic sculptures and the “Chuang Guandong” migration-theme displays (闯关东) have been reduced. Visitors interested in historic-block architecture should schedule Chinese Baroque Historic Block separately; the two places have different historical content.
Some shops may display live peacocks or parrots. Observe the care and display conditions cautiously. Do not buy or join animal-interaction activities, feed or touch the animals, and keep a quiet distance.
Build your day
30–50-minute indoor route
Enter through Qunli Wangfujing Mall. Follow the main street to the entrance “Harbin” wall and the “I ❤️ HARBIN” wall, then the Yue Lao blessing wall and pink rabbit installation. Finish by going up to the second-floor corridor for an overview before leaving.
This suits visitors who only want the installations or an indoor stop within a mall day. The second-floor corridor, escalators and doorways are circulation areas; take the photograph and move on according to the mall signs rather than occupying one viewpoint.
2–3-hour food-and-walking route
Walk in Qunli Music Park during the day, then enter Wangfujing Mall and Guandong Ancient Lane in the evening. Photograph the main street and second floor, watch the lights after dark and choose Yunnan hotpot, grilled fish or dumplings for dinner.
Restaurant queues, lighting activities and mall hours change. If you want to eat, check seating and the menu first, then decide how long to photograph. Leave via the mall's surface or underground parking, bus stop or metro direction.
Indoor winter rest route
In winter, place Guandong Ancient Lane after an outdoor riverside activity. Reorganize clothing and equipment, then eat inside the two-level lane. Mall heating, restaurant seating and crowds affect comfort; visitors with limited mobility can keep to the main street on one floor and the second-floor viewing corridor.

Metro and bus
Take Metro Line 2 to Sports Park Station, then walk or change to a bus towards 770 Qunli Fifth Avenue. Bus routes 95 and 117 stop at Qunli Fifth Avenue. Enter Qunli Wangfujing Mall and follow the indoor signs to Guandong Ancient Lane.
Driving and parking
Navigate to Qunli Wangfujing Mall. It has surface and underground parking and is relatively convenient. Holiday spaces and exit traffic increase; leave by the mall parking signs rather than looking for an independent scenic-area car park inside the lane.
Connect with Music Park
Guandong Ancient Lane and Harbin Music Park are both in the Qunli direction and can be visited on the same day. Music Park is an open outdoor riverside space, while Guandong Ancient Lane is an indoor mall lane. Arrange the connection around roads and weather, and finish with food indoors if useful.

Mall hours and the lane's current state
Guandong Ancient Lane itself has no admission ticket, but actual access depends on the mall's open entrances and shop hours. Second-floor shops and lighting activities will not necessarily operate together. Confirm the usable entrance, same-day lighting and target restaurant hours after arrival.
The current “Chengyu in Xiang” setting is closer to modern food and entertainment; original historic sculptures and snack-street elements have been reduced. For modern-era buildings and historic street layout, schedule Chinese Baroque Historic Block separately rather than treating the two as one historic attraction.
Live animals, photography and spending
Some shops may display live peacocks or parrots. Do not feed or touch them or buy animal-interaction activities. If the care environment looks poor, leave the display area; confined animals should not become photo props.
Food prices are typical of a commercial district. Queues, menus and hours at Yunnan hotpot, grilled fish, Korean spicy chicken feet and Dongfang Dumplings may vary by day. Photograph the modern installations without disrupting mall traffic, switch off flash and keep escalators, stairs and doorways clear.
