Harbin Polar Park is at 3 Taiyang Avenue in Songbei District, with its own main gate, visitor service centre and ticket office. The Polar Hall, Ocean Hall, Penguin Hall and Exotic Pet Hall each have different content. A four-hall ticket is currently around CNY 240–260; single-hall tickets are around CNY 190 for the Polar Hall and CNY 112 for the Ocean Hall. Check the ticket page for your date.
Current opening hours are 08:30–17:00. Buying online in advance can reduce queueing. A quick route takes about 3–4 hours and focuses on the Polar Hall; a full route takes about 5–6 hours once movement between halls, theatre waits and breaks are included.
An independent park, separate from Sun Island tickets
Polar Park is near Sun Island Scenic Area and Siberian Tiger Park but has its own entrance, ticket types and show schedule. Sun Island's free park admission, Russian Style Town tickets and Polar Park's multi-hall tickets are bought separately.
The park has beluga whales, dolphins and penguins, as well as scheduled shows. Animal displays and show times change, so check the day's programme after entering and then arrange your route.

Polar Hall: belugas, dolphins and indoor observation
The Polar Hall suits visitors with limited time, first-time visitors to polar-animal displays and families looking for substantial indoor activity. The Beluga Theatre, dolphin-related shows and polar-animal exhibits are representative content; exact times, viewing areas and animal condition may vary by day.
Stay in designated viewing areas. Do not tap the glass or feed the animals, and do not treat touching or making an animal perform a difficult action as a required experience. If you prefer to skip animal shows, spend the time in the observation areas and educational displays.
Ocean Hall, Penguin Hall and Exotic Pet Hall
The Ocean Hall may include sea-lion and walrus shows, mermaid-themed performances and underwater spaces; the underwater tunnel is good for viewing fish from below. The Penguin Hall and Exotic Pet Hall suit visitors interested in smaller animals and varied species, but check the day's open halls against your available time.
Penguin walks, dolphin shows and sea-lion and walrus shows can change in timing and format. Photograph without disturbing animals or other visitors: do not use flash or cross barriers. If an animal does not cooperate with a photograph, continue with the route.

3–4-hour Polar Hall route
After entering, photograph or save the day's programme and confirm the Beluga Theatre and dolphin-related times. Start in the Polar Hall, see the beluga display or show at its scheduled time, then visit the second-floor dolphin and other animal areas. Add the Penguin Hall and indoor educational content according to their opening status.
The Beluga Theatre has previously listed a 10:30 show and the dolphin show an 11:30 show, but the programme changes and these times are not a fixed itinerary. Arrive 30–60 minutes early for popular theatres. If seats are full, move to an open exhibit, wait for the next show or skip it.
5–6-hour four-hall route
Finish the Polar Hall highlights, including belugas and dolphins, then visit the Ocean Hall for sea lions, walruses, mermaids and the underwater tunnel. Use the ticket type and your energy level to decide when to add the Penguin Hall and Exotic Pet Hall. Let the programme determine the order; fix the shows you most want to see first.
Build movement and queue periods between theatres, and take a break at the park's fast-food area. If you want all four halls, keep a spare time block so changes to animals, halls or shows do not prevent you from seeing the main content.
Choose a multi-hall or single-hall ticket
If you have only 3–4 hours, compare the same-day four-hall and single-hall prices before choosing whether to focus on the Polar Hall or add the Ocean Hall. The four-hall ticket is currently around CNY 240–260, while the Polar Hall and Ocean Hall single-hall tickets are around CNY 190 and CNY 112; these do not replace the ticket price shown for your date.
Get there
Metro and walking
Take Metro Line 2 to Sun Island Station and use Exit 3, then walk about five minutes to the main gate. Navigate to the main gate of Harbin Polar Park; Sun Island Gate 1, the Russian Style Town entrance and Polar Park are different admission points.
Driving and parking
There is free parking outside the park, and parking is generally described as plentiful. Holiday mornings can be busy. After parking, walk to the main gate and security check; when leaving, look for the Polar Park parking area rather than one of Sun Island's other car parks.
Know before you go
Programme, queues and seats
Check the latest programme after opening. Show times, sessions, viewing areas and seating management may change. Arrive 30–60 minutes early for popular shows. Front-row paid areas, splash zones and interactive arrangements may have separate rules, so choose a seat according to whether you want to participate.
Animal observation and photography etiquette
Animal displays and shows do not guarantee that an animal will be energetic or willing to interact at every moment. Do not tap glass, feed animals, reach over barriers or chase parade animals. If an animal is not near the viewing window, continue along the route.
Follow on-site photography rules and switch off flash. Keep corridors and viewing areas clear. Visitors who are uncomfortable with animal shows can choose the exhibit halls, educational panels, underwater tunnel and penguin viewing area instead of building the day around a performance.

Before leaving, confirm the 08:30–17:00 opening window, same-day programme, four-hall and single-hall tickets, and the main gate and parking area. Polar Park, Sun Island and Siberian Tiger Park have separate ticketing, animal displays and transport arrangements.
