Chenjiagou is in Chenjiagou Village, Zhaobao Town, Wen County, Jiaozuo. Set the destination to “Chenjiagou Scenic Area”; there is free parking near the village entrance. Allow 1.5–2 hours for the core visit, or 3–4 hours if you add Donggou and the Chen Zhaopi Mausoleum.
The adult ticket is about CNY 40. Advance reservations are usually not required, and tickets can be bought online or on site. Opening hours are about 08:00–18:00. Visitors using foreign passports can confirm accepted documents and payment methods through the scenic area's official channel or at the ticket window before buying.
How to plan the visit
Chenjiagou suits visitors interested in the history of Taijiquan, village architecture and everyday practice. With only half a day, the Taijiquan Ancestral Hall, Chinese Taijiquan Museum and Yang Luchan's training site form a complete main route. If you have more time, add Donggou and the Chen Zhaopi Mausoleum to the walking route.

Ancestral hall, museum and Taiji Diagram Square
The Taijiquan Ancestral Hall is the village's main historical stop. The Chinese Taijiquan Museum introduces the history, philosophy and techniques of Taijiquan through its exhibits. From the higher part of the museum, you can look over Taiji Diagram Square, combining the cultural visit with the village setting.
Everyday Taijiquan in the village
The village has training halls, old lanes and Taijiquan symbols, and you may occasionally see residents practising under the trees. Practice sessions, classes and performances are possible parts of the day's life in the village, but they should not be treated as fixed programme items.
The story connecting Donggou with Chen Wangting's creation of Taijiquan has the character of local legend. Treat it as local tradition when visiting. Together with the Chen Zhaopi Mausoleum, Donggou forms an extended route for visitors willing to walk farther through the village.

Enter from the village entrance and visit the Taijiquan Ancestral Hall first. Continue on foot to the Chinese Taijiquan Museum, climb to the upper level for a view of Taiji Diagram Square, then pass Yang Luchan's training site before finishing the visit. This route concentrates on the main cultural buildings and suits visitors with limited time.
3–4 hours: extended route
After the core route, add Donggou and the Chen Zhaopi Mausoleum. Walk more slowly through the old lanes, training halls and Taijiquan details in the village. The story about the origins of Taijiquan at Donggou is local tradition, so take it as part of the area's narrative.

Driving and public transport
Driving from Zhengzhou takes about 1.5 hours. Set the destination to “Chenjiagou Scenic Area”; free parking is available near the entrance. By high-speed rail, travel first to Jiaozuo Railway Station, then change to a tourist shuttle or take a taxi. The road journey takes about 40–50 minutes, and the shuttle timetable should be checked for your travel date.
After arrival, begin walking from the village entrance. The ancestral hall, museum, Yang Luchan's training site and Donggou are separate stops within the village. Include the village walk and the connection back to Jiaozuo Railway Station when planning your return.

The ancestral hall, museum and training halls have different visitor arrangements, and residents' practice times can change. Follow the on-site rules for photography and entering a training hall; base the trip on the buildings and village walk rather than expecting a scheduled performance.
