Zhou King Palace and the market street
The Zhou King Palace area is the main architectural group. The Taixue Hall in the east side hall and the Martial Arts Ground in the west side hall offer different scene details. The market street includes Yu King Temple and period-style lanes, with bluestone paths, shops and walls to observe.
Chu King Palace and Yidai Tianjiao
The Chu King Palace area and Yidai Tianjiao area sit outside the central axis. They suit visitors with more time who are willing to continue up the steps. Treat the site as an architecture and set-design visit; the presence of a film crew, filming or a special event cannot be guaranteed.
Build your day
About 2 hours: central-axis route
Enter from the City Gate Square and visit the Zhou King Palace area, Spirit Platform and market street in sequence. This route concentrates on the main buildings and has a clear walking order, making it suitable for a short half-day stop.
3–4 hours: extended route
Complete the central axis first, then continue to the Chu King Palace area at the northwest end and the Yidai Tianjiao area at the northeast end. The extended route has more steps, so choose its length according to your energy on the day. Do not make the search for a particular film shoot a fixed part of the itinerary.
