Plan at a glance

Tickets and timing

Jiaozuo Film and Television City is at the northern end of Puji Road in Jiaozuo. Set the destination to “Jiaozuo Film and Television City”; free parking is available at the gate. The adult ticket is about CNY 35, with student, older-visitor and child discounts subject to the relevant documents. Advance reservations are usually not required, and tickets can be bought online or on site.

Opening hours are about 08:00–17:30, with entry stopping at 17:00. Allow about 2 hours for the central axis, or 3–4 hours if you add the Chu King Palace area and Yidai Tianjiao area.

How to plan the visit

The site suits visitors who want to see period-style architecture, photograph architectural details or understand how film sets are arranged. It is built against a slope, and the extended route has many steps. Older visitors, children and anyone unaccustomed to continuous uphill walking should start with the central axis before deciding whether to continue to both sides.

Choose your visit

Zhou King Palace and the market street

The Zhou King Palace area is the main architectural group. The Taixue Hall in the east side hall and the Martial Arts Ground in the west side hall offer different scene details. The market street includes Yu King Temple and period-style lanes, with bluestone paths, shops and walls to observe.

Chu King Palace and Yidai Tianjiao

The Chu King Palace area and Yidai Tianjiao area sit outside the central axis. They suit visitors with more time who are willing to continue up the steps. Treat the site as an architecture and set-design visit; the presence of a film crew, filming or a special event cannot be guaranteed.

Build your day

About 2 hours: central-axis route

Enter from the City Gate Square and visit the Zhou King Palace area, Spirit Platform and market street in sequence. This route concentrates on the main buildings and has a clear walking order, making it suitable for a short half-day stop.

3–4 hours: extended route

Complete the central axis first, then continue to the Chu King Palace area at the northwest end and the Yidai Tianjiao area at the northeast end. The extended route has more steps, so choose its length according to your energy on the day. Do not make the search for a particular film shoot a fixed part of the itinerary.

Get there

Bus and driving

Bus 13 or 36 reaches the site directly from within Jiaozuo. If driving, set the destination to “Jiaozuo Film and Television City”; free parking is available at the gate. After arrival, begin walking from the City Gate Square, with the site paths connecting the different areas on the extended route.

The entrance, Zhou King Palace area, Spirit Platform and market street form the central axis. The Chu King Palace area and Yidai Tianjiao area require continued walking toward the hillside. Check the bus return times for your travel date.

Steps and activities on the day

The site is built on a slope, and the extended route has many steps, so wear shoes suitable for continuous walking. You can visit the Zhou King Palace, Taixue Hall, Martial Arts Ground and market street as architectural stops. Whether a film crew, performance or temporary event is present depends on the day's arrangement.

The document requirements for adult, discounted and free tickets differ. Visitors using foreign passports can confirm the available ticket type through the official channel or at the ticket window before buying. The site does not require an advance reservation, but include the opening and final-entry times in the day's plan.
