Baihua Pool Historic and Cultural District is at the junction of Daming Lake Road and Xianxi Lane, opposite Daming Lake South Gate. You can enter from the Daming Lake archway or Qushuiting Street. This is an open district with no unified gate or ticket; allow 30–60 minutes for a quick visit or 1–2 hours for a full walk along the water and lanes.

Baihua Pool suits visitors interested in waterside buildings, photography, traditional-costume shoots, creative shops, and a slow city walk. Stone paths, bridges, and lanes favour a slower pace; confirm prices and hours separately for restaurants, tea houses, and shops.

Main lake and waterside buildings
The main Baihua Pool area has willows, lotus, and traditional pavilions connected by water and lanes. Qushuiting Street shows springs running through everyday residential streets, while Houzaimen Street has creative shops, tea houses, cafés, and restaurants for visitors to choose from.
Qifeng Bridge, Yuhe Lane, and text walls
The “Most Jinan” wall, Qifeng Bridge, and Yuhe Lane with its paper umbrellas are common photo points. Around 08:00 is quieter with softer light; after sunset, lanterns and water reflections create the main night scene.

30–60-minute short route
Enter through the Daming Lake South Gate archway, cross the main Baihua Pool area, follow Houzaimen Street or Xigengdao Street to browse buildings and shops, then leave toward Qushuiting Street. This works as a connecting section between Daming Lake and the old-city water lanes.
1–2-hour highlights route
Enter from Daming Lake South Gate, follow the water to see the lake and old buildings, then enter Qushuiting Street and continue to Qifeng Bridge for photos. From there, head south to Xigengdao Street and Wangfu Pool, or east to Houzaimen Street for a break. In the evening, enter from Qushuiting Street, sit beside the water for a while, and finish with the district lights.
Get there
Arrival and local transport
Buses K54 and K109 stop at Daming Lake Station, about a 5-minute walk away. Drivers can navigate to Baihua Pool Historic and Cultural District car park; the reference parking price is CNY 4–10 per hour. Old-city roads are narrow, and public transport is easier during holidays.
By metro, use Beiyuan or Ji’an Street Station and connect by bicycle or ride-hailing car, or include Baihua Pool in a Baotu Spring–Daming Lake walking route. There is no unified ticket gate, so use Daming Lake South Gate or the Baihua Pool car park as the navigation target.
Know before you go
Crowds, paths, and spending
The waterside and Qifeng Bridge are crowded on weekends and holidays; mornings and weekdays are better for photos. Stone paths can be slippery after rain, so wear comfortable shoes and check your bill and item count when buying snacks, drinks, or souvenirs.
Food and evening visits
Try street snacks as you wish, but check the price, origin, and reviews of full meals and so-called long-established brands. At night, stay on the lit waterfront and main streets; shop service hours are separate from the district’s open access.
