Plan at a glance

Entrance and opening

Pearl Spring is at 1 Yuanqian Street in Lixia District, with access through the south gate of the Shandong Provincial People’s Congress compound. Visitors can enter the public garden and spring area, but not the office areas. Entry is free and no reservation is required; it usually opens 09:00–18:00, with arrival by 17:30 more practical, and an ID card may occasionally be required.

Time needed and who it suits

Allow about 30 minutes for the main spring or about 1 hour for Pearl Spring, Fuji Pavilion, Song Haitang, Xiting Spring, and the Yudai River at a slower pace. This quiet stop suits visitors who like springs, gardens, and short walks, and it pairs well with Qushuiting Street and Furong Street in an old-city itinerary.

Pearl Spring and Fuji Pavilion

Pearl Spring releases a steady stream of bubbles from the pool floor that can look like strings of pearls in sunlight. Fuji Pavilion and the main pool are good for watching the water and taking reflections; pavilions, rockeries, old trees, and the Yudai River let you choose between water, garden, and architectural details.

Song Haitang, Xiting Spring, and the garden

Song Haitang west of Luoguo Bridge, Xiting Spring, and the Yudai River contain some of the garden’s most concentrated details. Visitors interested in Li Qingzhao, Jinan spring culture, and classical gardens can treat this as the main-spring extension; morning or afternoon light works well for tree shadows and water.

Build your day

30-minute quick route

Enter through the south gate and follow the plane-tree avenue. Turn left at the Pearl Spring signs to reach the main pool, walk around it, continue to Fuji Pavilion, and leave through the north gate. The north gate connects directly toward Qushuiting Street, but allow separate time for that district.

About 1-hour full route

Start at the main pool and Fuji Pavilion, then look for Song Haitang west of Luoguo Bridge. Continue to Xiting Spring, follow the Yudai River to Zhuoying Pool, and leave through the north gate. Steps and paths beside the water can be wet; stay on the paths while taking photos.

Get there

Arrival and local transport

From Quancheng Square Station, walk about 10–15 minutes. You can also take K50, 101, or K109 to Tianditan Street, or routes 1, 14, or K91 to Quancheng Square North, then walk about 5–10 minutes. Drivers can check the Pearl Spring Hotel car park or nearby commercial parking.

Use the south gate of the Shandong Provincial People’s Congress as the navigation target. Inside, follow only the public garden route and pass quietly near the office areas; do not enter closed spaces.

Know before you go

Opening and visitor boundaries

Pearl Spring is free but has limited visiting hours, so arriving well before 18:00 is safer than planning to enter at the end of the day. It is a public garden inside an office compound; keep the visit quiet and stay within the open garden area.

Water, insects, and breaks

The garden has many trees and can feel damp, so insect repellent is useful in summer. Steps near the water may be slippery, and rough play or entering the water is not appropriate; nearby meals can be arranged on Furong Street, Xianxi Lane, or Qushuiting Street, where peak times may bring queues.
