The district is free and open all day; shops generally operate around 10:00–22:00, but each business sets its own hours. Allow about 30 minutes for the main street or 1.5–2 hours when walking it with Qushuiting Street and Daming Lake.

This is a useful stop for local snacks, old-city street photography, and a continuation into the spring-lined lanes. Main street, archway, and spring lanes
The Furong Street archway, stone paving, and dense snack stalls define the main experience. Qifeng Bridge, Wangfu Pool, and Qushuiting Street are near the north end, where springs, bridge openings, and residential courtyards make the walk more scenic.
Snacks and photography
Try youxuan, spring-water tea, tianmo, and other snacks according to your interests. The Jinan text wall is a common photo spot, but leave if the queue is too long and return later. Visitors who prefer quieter scenes can use the main street as an entrance and spend more time in the water lanes at the north end.
Build your day
30-minute quick route
Enter from the south end, walk north along the main street, stop for selected snacks and the text wall, then continue into Qushuiting Street from the north end. This suits visitors who want a short taste of the commercial street before another attraction.
1.5–2-hour connecting route
Enter from the south, eat or snack along the main street, then use the north end to enter Qushuiting Street and follow the water north to Daming Lake South Gate. The main walking direction is south to north; from Daming Lake, you can return or continue through the lake area.

Arrival and local transport
Take Jinan Metro Line 2 to Quancheng Road Station and walk about 10 minutes to the main entrance; buses stopping at Furong Street also provide direct access. Parking in the old-city core is difficult on weekends, so public transport and walking are easier. Drivers can check Henglong Plaza and other commercial car parks and walk from there.
Furong Street connects north to Qushuiting Street and south toward Baotu Spring and Black Tiger Spring. Nearby districts usually take 15 minutes or more on foot, depending on pace, so plan them as separate walking sections.

Practical considerations
Some snacks and popular souvenir products are expensive; check the unit price and charging unit before paying. Bracelet shops may begin an interaction before stating the price, so stop and confirm the cost before taking part. Street carts and service offers vary, so walking, a shared bicycle, or a licensed ride-hailing car is usually more predictable.
Most paths are stone-paved, so flat, slip-resistant shoes are best. For Qifeng Bridge and the water lanes, early morning or evening is more comfortable than midday; at night, watch for dim and narrow lanes.
