The ticket office may offer a pagoda-only arrangement, but its price, refund amount, and designated exit follow the day’s on-site rules.
Who it suits
Allow 6–8 hours for the full park, which is built on slopes and involves a lot of walking, or 1–2 hours for the Jiudingta area alone. Families can focus on villages and interactive shows, while history and architecture enthusiasts may choose the pagoda area; these are different visit formats and should be planned separately.

Jiudingta and historic sites
Jiudingta consists of eight smaller pagodas around a central main pagoda and is the park’s main historic sight. Pagoda-only visitors may also be able to reach the side gate of Guanyin Temple and cliff caves, depending on the day’s access; this is a short historic extension rather than the full park route.
Ethnic villages and outdoor shows
The Dai, Miao, and Wa villages, northern Shaanxi cave dwellings, and Qilu cultural village offer different building and performance settings. “Qin Qiong the Hero” and “Tunnel Warfare” are major parts of a full-pass day for visitors willing to stay all day; use the QR timetable for the actual show times.

6–8-hour full route
In the morning, explore Xiushui Valley and the ethnic villages and use the day’s timetable for water-splashing, fire-breathing, or cave-dwelling shows. Rest near Ethnic Square around midday, arrive at the horse-battle arena about 20 minutes early for “Qin Qiong the Hero,” then join the interactive “Tunnel Warfare” activity. Walking is extensive, so wear comfortable shoes and lock in the major shows first.
1–2-hour pagoda-only route
Enter by the day’s pagoda-only procedure at the ticket office, then follow the left main path for about 3–4 minutes to Jiudingta. After the visit, leave through the designated exit as directed by staff. If you want the cliff caves as well, confirm whether the extension is open and whether it requires returning along the same path; do not use the full-park route as a substitute.
Get there
Arrival and local transport
From the city, take Bus 67 or K67 to Jiudingta and walk about 10 minutes; the whole trip takes roughly 1.5–2 hours. Driving from Quancheng Square is about 41 kilometres, or around 40 minutes in smooth traffic. Simen Pagoda is about 3.7 kilometres away and can be linked by car.
The entrance, ticket office, and day’s performance QR schedule are the starting points. The park is hilly, and performance venues are separated by walking distance, so allow for the actual path and changeover time between shows.

Practical considerations
The full pass and pagoda-only arrangement have different prices, and the ticket office’s rules for the day take priority. Performances, night sessions, and refunds can change; treat individual show times such as 14:50 or 15:40 as date-specific rather than all-year schedules.
A full day may involve around 20,000 steps, so older visitors and children need rest stops. On weekends, enter early and prioritize the main shows; plan the return drive and nearby farmhouse meals separately.
